Maverix Cruiser 600W Electric Skateboard, Blue

This electric skateboard exceeded my expectation. I was amazed by it's performance, speed, and braking control. I loved the three speed controls as it allowed me to start at the beginner levels and as I became more comfortable with skateboarding I could change to faster speed and fly down and through my neighborhood. All the kids and families in my neighborhood wanted to ride it and loved it.

Ugh - what a dud - I got the Border version but the company sucks so I am writing a general review. Got mine a little cheaper than this but still not worth it. Number of issues -- front and tails lights do not work, inconsistent speeds -- one minute it is faster (not fast by any means) and the next it is going at a slow walk pace ... no troubleshooting in manual -- ie my stupid remote beeps and I dont know wtf that means ... and worst of all dies multiple times during longer runs (less than a few miles and battery is rated at 7-9 miles) -- this leaves you stranded in the middle of nowhere with a 70 pound POS that will not go without battery (ie it will not move like a regular skateboard if you need it too) what a waste of money. Sorry Tony Parker this is a pos.

I bought this board and followed all instructions & charged it. When we took it outside to ride it it was a dud. It did not work. So we called Maverix customer service found that boards sold through Amazon were sold to an Amazon Canadian Stores 2.5 years ago and have sat on shelves for said length of time and batteries are dead/dying & they've frequently been getting calls with similar problem connected to Amazon purchases and Canadian/French labeled boxes (as our box was). I'm angered and extremely disappointed. This is way too expensive a purchase to come with a faulty battery. The board was a gift for my husband and I couldn't be more upset that his birthday gift was a fail.
