Penguin Classics New Translation edition.I wish Penguin would pay a bit more attention to its typeset. The pages are fine enough for this price range, but the font is a bit too small with lower than average margin set on both sides of the pages.This translation, however, takes the cake for the best translation of Demian by a mile. Get this edition for the writing itself.

I bought this books years ago, I was fifteen and reading it was a huge proponent to the forming of my perspectives on the world. As an adult, this book might not have that much of a big impact, but in your forming years it can be for sure a gem!
