Pretty cool.
This is a cool little puzzle with nice functional clock as the end result. I was a bit disappointed when I received it that it is covered with a wood grain sticker and not the natural wood grain. Also there are a few spots where the pieces pop out of the mold that I sanded a tiny bit and uses a wood marker to match the color. Definitely not necessary but I just thought it looked better. Overall, this is a great value especially for the price.

Loved it!
About 6 months later....The clock mechanisms have stopped working well. I have already replaced the batteries once, and about a week after that I can hear that it's still trying to go, but there's not enough power to get the second hand up over about the 7:30 spot. I will try replacing the clock mechanism, however i don't know if I'll be able to pull it apart and put it back together without breaking things. It's still beautiful and all, but the clock part itself isn't holding up too well. I'm a bit disappointed.Original:It took me about an hour to put together, but I wasn't in any rush to get it done. The instructions are pictures only and pretty clear. You have to be careful punching out a couple of the more delicate pieces. I didn't break anything, however I can see where it might be easy to do. It was a pretty simple project, but I felt accomplished upon completing it. I thought about painting it, but agree with other reviews that it would require sanding, or to be honest, more work finishing than I'd like to do on it. I like the idea of giving this as a gift, and may do so in the future.

Fun Pendulum Clock Puzzle
Takes less than 30 minutes to assemble. Now that it's been taken apart and put back together a few times, assembly really takes less than 5 minutes. There just aren't many parts to this one. The mechanism works fine, too, as the pics show.If you want to paint this, the No. 1 tip is to sand the whole puzzle BEFORE the parts come out of the sheets. The veneer laminate resists paint - paint won't stick. Use a 320/220 sanding sponge and have at it (EXCEPT for the clock face, see below). Sand just until the veneer disappears. The surface turns to a parchment color. The lasered lines and little numbers will still be there, so no need to worry about that. When sanding the clock face, use extra, extra care while going over the roman numerals or you might break one! The little pieces making up the numbers are barely attached at some places. They are fragile! I did break one, in fact. A little gorilla glue fixed it, thankfully.I used little fake jewels and gorilla glue on the dial. Tweezers and a bent paperclip were the only tools needed. It's not done yet. The lines need to be cleaned up, and I missed a line here and there. I'm also thinking about swiping a bit of gold paint on but, well, I don't know. We'll see about that. It seems happy where it is for now.The most difficult parts of painting are the sanding and painting the edges. The fun begins once you get past that!

Love my new piece
The media could not be loaded. I love this new clock. There were a few draw backs though, the piece itself was boring in color so I decided to paint it. It's a laminate composite, so acrylic kept peeling off and didn't stick very well, I'm sure I was probably supposed to use some other kind of paint. I would think if they wanted you to paint it, it should be an unfinished wood. Also, it could have been the many layers of paint needed, but it had some challenges going together in places and I broke one of the pieces. While it looks like they give you a few extra pieces (just in case), this one was not one of them. It did come well packed though in sheets and popped apart better than I thought it would. Tip: If you're going to paint it, don't try painting it while it's still in the sheets, pop them out first.

Great clock, brittle glass.
The clock is well crafted and practical to assemble, and disassemble if necessary. It’s best to press the hands onto the motor drive using nut drivers. 1/4” for the hour, 3/16” for the minute and second hand. My only issue was the the glass cracked, or may already have been, while removing the film. Anyone know how to go about getting a replacement lens?

Great clock and fun to build
It took awhile to get to this project, but once I did I was able to finish it in a couple of hours.I was glad to read the comments of others to sand the pieces I was planning on painting.I liked the fact that for some of the smaller more delicate pieces, extra pieces were included, it was fortunate as I broke one.I did need a touch of glue on a couple pieces, but all in all the parts fit nicely together. It was a very fun project to complete.

Super Pretty
I was worried from other reviews that this would break super easy. It was different then I thought. In some areas it broke easier then others but I didn't break any of the pieces which made me super happy. I did break the pieces around the pieces. The back panel is hard to get in and out, but I'm glad it's there. The last thing is that some of the pieces didn't fit that great so I had to glue them in so that the clock would stay together. I hope that this review helps you decide if you want to get this or not. I personally would recommend it. It's very nicely priced too.

Great Gift
I bought for my 91 yr old father-in law so he could do something other than watch tv. He was able to do it with some help from his care giver and loved it so much I've been asked to order a ship next. I was surprised that he enjoyed it so much as he doesn't like regular puzzles. Being that he used to do wood work, this was more like a building project to him. The end result looked good too.

Antique Looking Wall Clock !
Looks really nice… fairly easy to assemble… and there is an animated piece that moves… giving it and extra cool look !!!Only flaw… needed to use clear glue to hold some of the pieces together.
