It’s awesome!
We needed an extra shelf in a pantry for what was wasted space. It worked perfect!

Much sturdier than expected!
This was a little awkward to install, but using the installation stickers that were included to help hold it in place made it a bit easier. It's very sturdy once installed and makes a great shelf at the top of an under-counter cabinet where I put things like foil and parchment paper rolls for easy access. I've gotten back so much lower cabinet space with this!

Great Product for Storage
I moved to a handicapped apartment and the hanging space in the closet is at chin level with no way to install a double rod. So, we were able to install this above for great additional storage!

It’s not very sturdy …
I needed it to fit a few more items than what it was able to hold . I then used it for lighter things and it works fine.

Works better than I thought it would
A bit hard to install up high by myself but I did it. It probably does hold the 40(ish) pound it says it does!I have had it up in my laundry room for two months with no issues. I dont think I have 40lbs on it, but at least 20.It is spendy...but for an apartment that I don't want to drill holes in it is worth it for me! (I do wish that the far end was not "open" on the bottom and that the slats carried all the way over.

Great space utilizer!
When I bought this, I remember thinking “this seems expensive for a tiny shelf”, but it is so handy! I’m so glad I bought it. I was able to move all the bath towels onto it and free up a whole cupboard! It’s holding 10 bath towels, 3 hand towels, and a few wash cloths and hasn’t budged! I love it.

As described by everyone else
[ORIGINAL 9/14/21] As others mentioned, the screws tighten over the rods so it will leave dents. I can see how it would be easier with two people, though I was able to assemble by myself for ~32" length between a bookshelf and the wall. I didn't want to risk heavy items so I put a couple of bags, a helmet, and a couple of light boxes on it that just barely spanned the shelf's width. Some people complained about having only two rods versus five rods spanning the entire length, but what you see is what you get. I think I saw someone put this shelf in a space where one rod had to be shorter than the other, so it's versatile. I like it enough that I plan to get another one.[UPDATE 10/28/21] Suddenly in the middle of the night it fell. It's been about six weeks and there was less than 15# of items spread across the shelf. I just put it up again after work this evening. If it falls again, it might not be worth it to put up the shelf every 6 weeks![UPDATE 1/16/22] I went out to attend something and when I came back the shelf was down. It has been about 80 days since I last put it up. This time I just put light things on it (see photo of yoga blocks, dish pan, empty tote) and will report if it falls. But yeah, not sure how others are able to put detergent on it or simply toss things on it (I place the items gently). I want to buy another one because the concept is great but should try another brand/seller.

Does the job
When I pulled these from the box I was disappointed ad they looked cheap. I bought the extra long ones, and I couldnt see how they would stay up. Then I realized that when you screw in the extenders, it actually cuts into the metal bar to hold. This makes a big difference.Since I didn't have any one to help my hang, I put a couple rows of trim in the wall with drywall screws at the right height so the feet could 'sit' on something while increasing the tension. I highly recommend this. Less frustrating and it gives some extra permanent support. This isn't a heavy duty shelf for sure, but if you're hanging some clothes and accessories it does the job. With the extra long one I bought, 72", I wouldn't put anything much more than towels or folded clothes on top.

Does The Trick
Although I love Hi-Rise Condo's, for all the reasons of a Downtown City Dweller, Cupboard / Storage Space is always a challenge. Thank goodness, with a little research and shopping around, there's a myriad of products which allow one to shove in inordinate amount of whatever neatly and organized into one's Cupboards. This product is a great idea, cuz I was able to put it just above the main shelf in my Hall Closets; to add another bit of storage for Hats, Gloves, Scarves and the like. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and 'Does The Trick'....

Does the job
We got these tension shelves after moving to an apartment with very little storage. Currently we are using one at the very top of our hallway closet to create a little extra space to eventually hold our camping gear. The shelves were easy to put together, shipped quickly, and seem to be very sturdy for what they are. If you're in a pinch, I would recommend it.I do wish they were slightly less expensive, given that they seem to be made primarily if plastic and aluminum.

Super useful
I love this shelf. It was super easy to put up once I read the instructions. It would be even easier with a second person, but oh well. I had an empty cupboard (with no shelves) that I wasn't using, and being I'm renting means I can't put holes in things. This shelf made it possible for me to hang my clothes in the closet as well as store some stuff on top of the shelf.

Needed extra support; would not easily stay in place.
So....the thing is where I wanted it to be and hasn't fallen. And it does accept lots of weight. BUT: I put it above my bathtub to hang clothes, and it wouldn't completely stay in place. One side did, the other not. I got tired and ended up running a thick nylon cord from the shower bar to a nail half way on the wall opposite the shower head to another nail on the wall parallel to the curtain and it did the trick, but was not the idea, right? Maybe if two people install it it fully works, I don't know.
