I'm 77 and can't walk because a knee replacement went very badly, so my doctors harp on my getting enough protein while watching my calorie intake. Rather than fuss with with the amount of protein in each ingredient while also accounting for sodium and calorie content (manufacturers cater to those watching each of these three but not to someone watching all three, naturally) I take the easy, lazy way out and drink one or two protein shakes a day while eating very small portions of whatever else I want. I get really tired of drinking protein shakes, I tell you.Recently I got a wild idea and dug out my ice cream maker. I now freeze the shakes, making reasonably good ice cream. It's nowhere near as good as the really deluxe high-butterfat premium stuff, of course, but it's reasonably good. My favorite flavor is a vanilla shake flavored with this spice powder, making vanilla chai latte ice cream. I suspect that this spice powder would greatly enliven an unfrozen protein shake but I'm still delighting in the novelty of the frozen version and haven't tried any other version.

I make 6 cups at a time, at double strength, then place in jar in fridge. Since I make my tea by the pot, I can fill it half way, add my black assam tea, and poor over boiling water. I do not use milk, but do add a bit of sugar. It makes a flavorful cup of tea with a nice aroma.

This is very strong. It says a 1/4 tsp and I cut that in about half. Overall, I do like the product, however.

I am addicted to Indian tea (chai) first thing in the morning. Masala tea is a special morning tea when I have more time to prepare. With this mix, I can enjoy that special tea every morning as it is ready for me to add to my tea, it smells and tastes just PERFECT! Ordering more as gift for all my chai addict friends.

Great flavor of all the spices make the perfect Chai!

The ginger in this is MUCH more prominent than in any other chai I've had, and it tastes awful.

Great flavor.

Less cardamom than I prefer, and more pepper and cloves.
