The easiest install ever, just follow the directions. I live in a three story townhouse. As usual for a townhouse, the third floor is always the hottest level. I put one sensor in one of the third floor bedrooms and the other sensor in another third floor bedroom. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how the third floor temps are now lower. Is the third floor the same temperature as the entry level or the basement, no, however the sensors definitely lowered the third floor temps. Highly recommend these, for me they're worth every penny! All the bedrooms are on the third floor and even in the 95+ degree days the third floor temps are lower than when I didn't have the sensors.

The ecobee Smart Sensors hook into the app and ecobee thermostat super easy. Really little to no configurations at all, simply scan the QR code on the sensor and the app finds it and adds it to your thermostat.Not everyone needs additional sensors, but for me this was a must. The only thermostat that is installed is in the ecobee Smart Thermostat and it is installed in an area that does not see people cross its path very often. When it thinks that there is no one home it then stops heating or cooling to save energy (good thing). The bad part is when we don't go past the thermostat it thinks no one is home and the house either gets super cold or very hot until we go past the thermostat or manually adjust in the app. With these little sensors, you can have them in areas that people are in and it registers that someone is home and keeps the Heat or AC running.Some people may say why not turn of the the ability of the thermostat so it just stays on. Well, that defeats the purpose of a smart thermostat, and I do want it to be able to automatically turn the heating off and on if we are really not at home.Overall these are great little sensors and I think very well designed. I'm am pleased with them and happy that I have purchased them.

I purchased these along with ecobee thermostat to balance temperatures all thought home, setup was simple and they work well, however I noticed my air conditioning unit was running more frequently than before, after some research I changed the temperature differential within the thermostat and that made a slight improvement, air would still run more frequently, also I began to notice with other thermometers the thermostat temperature was off by 3 degrees I was unaware when I changed that in the thermostat it also changed it on the sensors which made my air run for 9 hours straight, now I have removed them from all comfort settings and my home is cooler and unit cycles properly again. Overall they are good and I will continue to use not for heating or cooling but just to monitor room temperature.
