YES, it's waterproof and YES, you can get it WET
I am not much of a swimmer but I do participate in water exercise classes several time a week and supplement the classes with individual workouts in the pool where I live. Over the last year I tried 2 headsets that were clearly labeled water resistant. Neither was ever fully submerged at all. While both continue to play music, the program controls did not work on either for any length of time. I had steered away from headsets marked "waterproof" due to the higher cost. I decided this year I'd use the money I get from my dad on my birthday for just that purpose. I purchased a unit from Amazon and was happy with it when about a week or so later I was offered a free unit to evaluate. I was happy to oblige as I'd had in mind to test the one I bought to the limits prior to the 30 day return period expiration. The unit arrived well packaged with a nice case with a small USB cable, extra ear buds, and an instruction booklet. The unit is lighter that other headsets I've used that were similarly configured. For me the band around the back of the head is comfortable, doesn't really make contact, and does not get pulled when I move my head, as it has with similar banded headsets. The control buttons, on the bottom of the back of the headband, are standard. From left to right: a power button, a covered USB charging port, a -/+ rocker button..You hold the power button for 4 seconds to turn the unit on or off. Hold for 8 seconds to pair the unit with your device.Press the - to decrease volume and press the + to increase volume.Hold the - to advance to the next song in your play list and hold the + to go to the begging of the track you are listening to.All the buttons are a small and need to be pressed a little harder than I'm used to. To be fair the band itself is not really big enough to support much of a larger button. I also suspect that a smaller button I easier to waterproof. After a week of using the unit I've kinda gotten used to the buttons and have little difficulty getting the unit to do as it's told. There's also a Multiuse button on the left earpiece that will start/stop playback and is used for answering the phone. The unit is most definitely waterproof. While you will lose signal if fully submerged, this is not the fault of the unit but a limitation in Bluetooth technology. Not being a swimmer I can't really say if they work well when swimming. But I have turned my head left and right, submerging only one earbud at a time and the music still plays. When I do dip below the surface of the water the signal is restored as soon as I come back up. I've even worn it in the shower several time with no loss of signal. The sound quality is good, not great. I'd like the bass to be a little stronger. This and the hard press needed on the button reduced my rating, but I'd like to call it a 4.5.Overall I'm very happy with this unit and look forward to many hours of music keeping my workouts going.

PERFECT FOR MY MORNING SWIM... Exercise and stay entertained.
I was concerned about purchasing this headset because of some of the reviews about it loosing Bluetooth connectivity when under water. But, this is not meant to be a device to take deep diving, it is designed to be waterproof. Surface level it is fantastic. It keeps my music playing while I do my morning exercises in the pool. I am 100% satisfied with the sound quality and flexible durability this headset has to offer. Its sound quality is perfect for what I have purchased it for. I highly recommend for the swimmer who does laps and keeps head at water level. You should have no problem hearing your favorite tunes to keep you entertained while working out. Many other features too are present. I don't use it for cell phone conversations, but it is capable with the same quality. Good luck in this product. I am sure you will agree with me, it does what it says it will do just fine.

the battery holds power nicely. Most sets of that caliber i have tried ...
My opinion of the Diver waterproof bluetooth headphones was drastically changed upon receiving the new set from the offer. I strongly believe my first purchase was a defective lemon as I will get into later. That being said, I do give a positive overall rating for the product (my second, non-lemon pair) considering its level of ip waterproof rating and battery life for a product at this pricepoint, despite some comfort and ergonomic issues I experienced.Particularly while not in use, the battery holds power nicely. Most sets of that caliber i have tried lost battery life as they remain idle or off for days. When this set is off for days at a time it seems to have exactly what remaining playtime one would expect, whereas another set might have lost as much as 20% more energy in the same time frame. I expected a cheap Chinese battery but I was pleasantly surprised. The sound quality also superbly outperformed my expectations. However, as far as comfort, stability in ear, and ergonomics, the product DRASTICALLY falls short. Most waterproof bluetooth headphones are comfortable to wear, whilst these, despite my limited experience with other competing one piece designs, is significantly more uncomfortable and poorly thought out. When shooting for a quality feel in a rigid yet flexible, solid, one piece design it is important that the product does not feel cheap or like a toy. To me the packaging and case already does a great job in diverting from such a conclusion, giving the product an immediate classy impression. The buttons however are positions so counterintuitively that to remember or even make an attept to find or press the controls on the back of the head require (for me at least) taking off the pair and looking! They are not eyes free as far as I am concerned. The most pressing issue however is the design while in use. The earbuds protrude at too obtuse of an angle in proportion to the base. It almost feels like they WANT to pop out the front of my ears and cause discomfort and induce a terrible fit. A more perfectly perpendicular or 90 degree angle would add to stability, as well as providing an even bigger rubber earpiece option. Additionally the connecting rods are too short/rigid to the point where when a person's head is not looking directly forward or up, the base is NOT resting on the back of the neck but rather behaves as an awkward, uncomfortable box flying about and arounf the back of the skull. Bringing the head back too fast often causes the VERY PRECARIOUSLY held base to hit the back of the next and via impact resonance dismount the earpieces from ones ears. The fit is tight only when forced in deep into the ears and even then is considerably weak.Another small point of contention is that on the Amazon.com site it is a bit misleading that these come up as noise cancelling, albeit they are in the microphone reception, they do not actively cancel the audio noise coming into the headphones allowing for more isolated listening. As active noise cancelation technology has proliferated to the vast majority of audio electronic companies in the past few years, I at first believed this was the elusive holy grail trifecta of headphones (1. Bluetooth 2.Waterproof 3. Noise Cancelling). I felt a bit deceived when they arrived and slightly let down, although I should have presumed it was too good to be true.Getting back to my original issues, I believe my first pair to be a defective lemon. The plastic rods connecting the earpieces to the base were DRASTICALLY DISFIGURED and completely out of symmetrical alignement with eachother and lead tobthe set being tragically lop sided and askew. This caused an unfathomable amount of discomfort. If it were not for seeing how perfectly shaped and symmetrical the set is supposed to be from the newly sent pair, I would have retained a sour, negative view of the careless workmanship/manufacturing ability of this brand. The new set GREATLY turned that opinion around.I hope my review is insightful and useful for product development going further.I would still like a refund for my first (unwieldy and unsymmetrical) defective pair. The email offer makes specific mention of refunds for the previous product purchase (of which mine was defective) if it was not satisfactory or up to par, which it is not. Please email me and confirm to how this is to be done.Thank you,[email protected]
