Soooo light, great waterproof
Bought this jacket a few months ago and love it. I spend way too much time doing my research, watching numerous youtube videos, reading reviews like this and trying to decide on the massive range of jackets/kit out there and maybe just getting more confused with too many choices. That's because, to be fair and honest, most of the jackets that have over 10,000 Hydrostatic Head (measure of waterproofness, the higher the number the more waterproof) and taped seams are good and will do a great job for many years. So I found it came down to a few questions about specifics to me as a runner. I didn't want any pockets as when I run distance I have a pack, belt or pockets in shorts, so tick. I like to wear a light jacket running in wind/no rain (tick this is super light, you wont't belive how light), looks (colour is important don't care what anyone says, IMHO), oh and finally price only you know what you want to spend.I've now run in rain, rain/wind, cold/no rain, and its amazing. The mittens are a neat addition too when it gets really cold. It packs away so small that I can stow it in a run belt just in case it gets wet, windy or cold (not unique but it is super small to pack away). So I'd highly recommend it. Also OMM is a good brand that supports the running community.Like I mentioned this and a few other jackets fullfiled my criteria, such as the Inov8 stormshell (but more expensive, better HH at 20,000, less light, heavier is the wrong word all these jaclets are super light), Montane Minimus (again more expensive and higher HH but less light), Salomon Bonatti (I bought this too and its higher 20,000HH and less light, has pockets but wanted to try it, and will use in super heavier rain.Hope that helps you in your choice.

very very light
I am not a mountain marathon runner, but a chubby hill walker. I got the XL, would have preferred an XXL but these are not made. We got two of them for putting over our Buffalo coats ( yes I know they are meant to work with out things on top) However when it really really rains I do not like being wet, albet warm in Bufflalo so put this over and being so light adds no weight to rac sac and such a good quality coat, keeps the rain of easily. It seems very delicate but actually stronger than it looks and feels. Also we used as a wind break on same long distance walks when too warm for buffalo. . Really recommend this just wish it was larger, drops down on your bum and nice thumb hooks.

A real disappointment in the end.
Sadly after a few uses, it became clear that the high price is not necessarily an indicator of better quality. Level of waterproofing is pretty poor despite the claims and the inner lining is very delicate and didn’t even survive the gentlest of washes (tearing apart in several places). A nice design aesthetically and indeed very lightweight but with the poor performance, at this price point I’ll be trying other brands in future.

Brilliant lightweight waterproof jacket
An incredibly lightweight jacket that can be stuffed away with minimal fuss. Im a fan of the 1/3 zip as means less chance for water entry, and this jacket held its own against relentless rain with no water entry even after a couple of hourse. Very breathable and after over an hour of running, minimal sweat build up inside the jacket.Highly recommend.

Packs down really well, but into what?
The waterproof jacket is great. I bought it to cover mandatory gear required for an Ultra-marathon I was running. One thing though, the jacket packs away very neatly but there nothing to pack it into. a wee bag or even packing into a pocket would be brilliant.

Tolle Laufjacke
Prima und tolle Laufjacke. Dünnes Material, angenehm zu Tragen. Funktional.
