Good value bag, but could be a bit of a gamble!
I was going to give this 3 stars but maybe that would have been disingenuous. I've had my Snugpak for 3 years and it has been used for every holiday and day out since it arrived. Unlike any other "bum-bag" I have ever owned, this feels very secure and comfortable around the waste and is easy to convert to a small carry bag within a small amount of time. It has a load of space inside and by a distance was the very best bag of this kind I have purchased.However.....Like many other reviewers have mentioned, the bag has come apart alongside one of the side pockets, completely without me noticing. I no longer have the confidence that if this has happened then some of the othermaterial may also follow suit and I would lose something of value. On balance, 3 years use out of something that costs less than £20 is pretty good - however if I bought a replacement would it happen quicker next time? I've no idea but as Snugpak don't appear to have improved the quality on the bag I don't really want to take that gamble.I have now ordered a more expensive but similar size and layout bag that doesn't appear to have similar quality issues. And thereby lies the lesson for the manufacturers, I, like many other of your customers, would happily pay a little more for your bag if the material/assembly was slightly better quality.Just to clarify, mine has come apart where the top seam of the side pocket is stitched to the main compartment. The stitching has stayed intact but the side pocket material that is stitched has "unravelled" like a badly knitted woolie jumper.

Small But It Works Well For Me
I bought this bag as a bug out/grab bag to left in my home incase of an emergency. Its large enough to have a few key items inside including a survival bag, fire lighting kit, first aid kit, water purification systems and emergency rations to name a few items. However I now use it to strap to my camping rucksack. It still carries similar gear inside, but it allows me to carry survival essentials when out hiking without carrying all my gear (which can be left at base camp)I don't know the exact dimentions on the main internal pocket, but it is smaller than I originally expected. Its big enough for my uses, but don't expect to carry much more than 1-2 litres pf gear in there. The two side pockets come in handy and are a fair size. I can fit a large tobacco style tin (firelighting kit) and around 10 meters of paracord in one side. The front pocket is a useable size, maybe reserved for paperwork/passports etc. Its not very deep, I have used it for a notepad and pens for when I am out an about. This bag has Molle style attachments on the back, which made it really easy to secure it to my bag. It uses popper style buttons so makes it ideal for easy release when you want to use just the snugpak bag.It does have molle webbing on the front and sides of the bag. Although I am yet to use it with any molle pouches, it makes life easy to clip my torch, knife, cup etc when it is being used around camp.I don't carry much weight in the bag so I cannot comment on how comfortable the bag would be when fully loaded. It is holding up well, although based on other reviews, I am expecting some issues later on.Overall, It fits the purpose I bought it for and is big enough for what I personally need it for. I would recommend it for casual users who need a small bag. However, for daily users, you may be better off getting a higher quality bag such as the Maxpedition.

Small, well concealed and not for those who want largeness!
This really is an excellent and flexible bag(ish) holder of one's everyday stuff. In all honesty it's a bumbag masquerading as a proper man-bag. The only disappointing thing is that it isn't a real over-the-shoulder bag but with a little imagination you can modify the waist strap to act as a shoulder strap. Or you can do the whole special forces style and pretend you're an extra in SWAT or similar not caring about fashion or what other's think and wear it like a cross shoulder to waist utility bag, on a mission with your smart phone, lighter, Ipad and pack of tissues.... but little room for much else! It's fun but don't expect to carry more than those few items although it does expand a little to perhaps allow you some space for hand cleanser! ;o) It is, however, very cheap so don't complain that you haven't got enough room for a travelling stove and poncho while hiking in the Andean foothills! it'll do for us urban warriors who need big zips and loops to hang stuff from with our non-climbing carabiners! Call me cynical but i'm really not complaining because, i'm creative, but if you want something to go over your shoulder.... think again!

Is it for you?? It was for me
First of all this product is well made from strong materials, as from other reviews it is NOT waterproof (but if you use waterproof liners is fine) Is it worth the £14 mark?. It depends what you use it for. The size of the product took me by surprise. It was a lot smaller than i thought it would be not through any fault of the seller description though. It is really like a large fanny pack, bum bag, butt pack what ever description takes your fancy!! It comprises of 2 zipped end pouches (mobile phone size) and 2 main zipped compartments which individually contain smaller mesh and material pockets ( small knick knacks), also a clever little front pouch that hides the belt which allows you to clip the product firmly around your waist. Also it contains the Mollie style straps and webbing style that you could attach more equipment if you wished, although i am not sure it will cope with too much extra weight. It would be fine as a day out pack for you bits and bobs, for work or just pre packed with essentials to grab on the go. I would not recommend it for any serious outdoor jaunt unless it was only a part of your equipment holding. If you were to use it in conjunction with a Mollie patrol backpack (as i do and will) it is ideal for the extra bits.So is it worth the £14............ Yes i think it is worth every penny! A useful product that is handy even to be in the back of the cupboard just in case. A top product for those who travel or can be used in a variety of pursuits and jobs!!! 5 Star

Bit on the thick side for my use
Got this for use on a cycle as a frame bag. (I know it's not designed for it, but it works really well!) I did end up snipping off the waist band to get the pack thinner. It still has a great slip through pocket for a belt that velcros shut, so it wasn't really something that would be missed once gone. Would be nice if one of the side loops were up/down directional instead of side to side directional so I could strap it to the down tube a bit tighter. As it is there's a bit of twisting, which can cause it to swing while cycling, but this wasn't designed for the use I'm using it for and can't mark it down for that. One good thing I have discovered with it being a touch on the wide side, you can shove your knees into it which gives you a bit of comfort when going down hill. Kinda like a soft pillow to take up some of the road jaunt. Nice!
