Roaring Brook Press Never After: The Thirteenth Fairy

This book was so engaging and I couldn’t put it downI am not the fantasy and adventurous kind of reader but this was so interestingWorth reading it💗

My 9 year old daughter loves this series. She has re-read it multiple times and is anxiously waiting for the next book to be released. The only downside is she doesn’t want to read any other books because she “knows” they won’t be as good as the Never After series.

My daughter is excited to get started on this book. Indigo was sold out so we ordered it on the spot and it came 2 days later.

I read this book before purchasing for my 9 year old granddaughter. She is reading at a high school level & its hard to find age-appropriate books she will enjoy. The author, Melissa de la Cruz, knocked it out of the park with this book! It is a fantasy book based on fairy tales and holds the attention of the reader. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

This book was such a fun read for me I thought. I loved the new magical retelling of the fairy tales very much and it felt like its own version of retelling the traditional fairy tales. I loved watching Filomena grow as a person and see her become more confident about herself. I thought the world building was very nicely done. The pacing was also done very well never felt to slow or to fast. My only problem with the book was the over arching mystery we had was really easy t solve and very obvious. Over all this was a really fun read for me and my final ratting would 4/5 stars.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter so all I can say is she loves everything I send her I thought it sounded the kind of book she likes to read.....
