The first Blue Tiger locomotive, developed and constructed by AdTranz, in 1990, set a new benchmark for modern diesel engines. Bombardier Transp. System. has completed this technology and made it to the climax with the development of the Blue Tiger 2. The BT2 impresses with its unusual optical appearance as well as state-of-the-art technology, reliability and tensile strength. The BT2 is a long-distance diesel electric locomotive with three-phase technology used in freight transport. The locomotive is equipped with an integrated control computer, computer-controlled pneumatic brake as well as with Flexifloat lathes that ensure excellent running characteristics and optimal pulling force transmission.
