Product Great - DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON
I bought this to put in the floor of a lower level bedroom I was building out in the small unfinished space (12x11) remaining. The product itself is great (used LVP, "Lifeproof" brand from HD, because I didn't want ceramic in a bedroom - the LVP does not impede heat transfer at all). Followed instructions and it works great. Word to the wise, if you are using self leveler to imbed the wires, I suggest you use a glue gun. It works great for the metal bands, and more importantly, you can actually use glue under the wire runs to make sure it doesn't float (I missed two spots and had to repour more leveler). Just the same, product works great, very effective at heating the room. I used the 90 sq ft wire because I planned to skip the middle 50% or so of the space where the bed was going (no reason to trap heat under it). Now, the bad: AMAZON. I didn't listen to my instinct and instead ordered from Amazon because they told me they could actually get it to me in time to finish the room in time for Christmas (the room was intended for one of my kids, the last one still sharing a bedroom). They sent me the wrong product (a 240 volt wire that was almost twice as long as I needed). Amazon was useless. Their only solution was to return it and once they processed the return they would send it out (and leave me to hope they didn't screw up again), and it would take about two weeks. I explained why it was frustrating, and after spending 45 minutes bouncing through "management" I was left with the same response, "too bad."Silver lining, I was able to find out who it was sold by (fulfilled by Amazon). A company called Kobi Tools out of Chicago was the technical seller. I called them and explained my problem and, even though it was not their screw up, they agreed to ship me the correct wire via next business day delivery on my promise to send back the incorrect wire (so I could at least get started installing the cable brackets and thermostat). Amazon's abysmal service still caused me to miss my deadline, but I could at least show my boy his new heated floor thanks to Kobi Tools. In summary, this is a fantastic product - just don't buy it from Amazon.

Warm Wire and Warm Toes!
Installation not for the average DIY’er. I am a construction professional so installation was fairly easy fir me. You must have a dedicated circuit from you electrical panel. I created a new circuit and ran a new wire to the stat location. I played with the wire spacing a few times go get the length of wire to end in the desired location. You cannot cut the wire or cross the wires so plan you layout carefully. I installed over plywood subfloor and poured 2 layers of self leveling quickset to fully enclose the wires. I did not want to run the risk of damaging the wire with the notched trowel when applying the mortar base for the tile. The extra thickness was not a problem because I removed nearly 1” of thickness with the previous hardwood flooring. Thermostat is user friendly and not overly complicated. We use the floor temp but have not tried the room temp yet. We keep it on 24 hours a day but you can set wake, leave, return, and sleep temperatures if desired. The wife prefers the cozy warmth all the time. I am very pleased with the end result and would recommend to others.

Soft Heat For Out Bath Floor - Highly Recommended
This is an excellent kit and I am very happy with having soft, warm underfloor heat in our recently remodeled bathroom. It is a job to install this but not that onerous assuming you are either installing it in new construction or in a remodel situation where the old flooring is being completely removed, down to the subfloor. The instructions are excellent - be sure to follow them especially in regard to being very careful in installing the heat cable. Don't nick, cut or damage it. A cool feature is the yellow "Loudmouth" that comes with the kit. This device monitors the cable the whole time you are working on the installation. It would immediately signal any break or damage in the heat cable so it can be addressed BEFORE it is encased in mortar. Finally, the thermostat is top notch and very easy to program. So, I highly recommend this kit.

Well worth the cost and time to install
It took a good amount of planning initially, but I couldn’t be happier with the result. I poured self-leveling concrete over the top of the wire to minimize risk of cord damage during my tile installation. Unfortunately I decided to install mine after I already installed durock on the floor; if I were to do it again I would use the Suntouch HeatMatrix membrane for ease of wire placement and wire distance. You can also tile directly over the HeatMatrix membrane.

Warmwire for Wet areas
Warmwire for Wet ares is a great product to keep your bathroom floors toasty warm for your toes. Now that it is rated for wet areas, your shower is now warm for your feet when you walk in. Read the instruction prior to installation. The "loud mouth" device was a great feature to have, keeps any issues that do occur during installation, identifiable prior to covering with a tile of your choice. We worked with "Custom" building products to select our best substrate underlayment for the wire to be placed on top of. Works great.

Very good value
Installation is easy and can be done by one person although it helps to have another hand. The controller is very intuitive and easy to operate.
