Excellent book for any beader
The “Bead Stitching Handbook” is very informative and is a must have for all new beaders. It covers all the basic stitches one needs to master. There are a lot of pictures and clear step by step instructions to help learn the various stitches. . I have used Peyote, Netting, Ladder, Brick, Square, Herringbone, Russian Spiral, Right Angle Weave, Chenile and Chevron stitches in my work. Yet I find this book offers so much; starting with all the different types of beads including multi-hole seed beads with different finish details available. Also gives insight on beading threads, needles and tools, which I didn’t have access to when I started out. Wire looping and wire wrapping are explained with accompanying figures. I specifically liked the section on Chenile stitch variations, St. Petersburg chain, Bead crochet and Combining Peyote, RAW and Herringbone stitches. Bead Looming is an art unto itself; two pages are devoted to Loom Work. Pages 72 to 126 are devoted to detailed projects with supporting figures. This book is a great addition to my collection of books. Thanks Amazon.

The mysteries of wonderful beading techniques laid out before the reader like a feast.
I love the direct, easy to find layout and concise instructions with no frills, very clever illustrations. As a newbie to the craft this is THE book I have been searching for as a handy, workbench reference book and guide. The projects are, on the whole accessible enough to be possible yet beautiful enough to make the finished piece covetable - and there are enough earrings, bangles and necklaces to keep even an avid crafter like myself busy for many months.I would recommend this heartily to anyone wishing to learn the craft of beading. This guide will prove the solid grounding needed to allow individual creativity to flourish.

Excellent reference book
I am a complete beginner at beading and wanted a book that covered the basics and this book does just that. It describes all the different beads with great illustrations, the tools you may need, the needles and the threads. Then the book takes each stitch in detail. It discusses its uses and when to use it, it then illustrates the stitch with really clear diagrams and written instructions and then it gives you the possible variations of the stitch, again with clear diagrams and written instructions. At the end of the book there are some projects with a list of requirements, instructions and diagrams. It really is an excellent book for beginners or for more experienced beaders looking to extend their repertoire. Highly recommend it.
