Product works. Container could be better.
I used this product to re-lube a freshly degreased and cleaned bicycle chain, as well as the front and rear gear sprockets.Pros:It’s viscous enough to stay where you put it. It’s got a consistency almost like petroleum jelly.Smells pleasant.Very slippery stuff. As one might expect for a lubricant.Cons:Easy enough to squeeze out of the bottle when the bottle is at least half full. But as the amount in the bottle decreases with use, it gets harder and harder to squeeze the bottle enough so that the lube from the bottom of the bottle gets squeezed up to the tip so that it can be dispensed. And when there’s very little left in the bottle, it’s virtually impossible to squeeze the last bit out, so that bit gets thrown out with the bottle. Seems to me that a softer vinyl tube, which can be more easily squeezed, and shaped like the old style toothpaste tubes that could be rolled up from the bottom, would make for a better container for this product.Verdict:The lube seems perfectly suitable for bicycles, but the container is not the best design and requires a lot of squeezing in order to dispense product, especially when the container is half full or less. I’d buy this product again, but only if I don’t find a comparable product in a squeezable tube that lets me get the last bit of product out of the tube.If you found this review to be of any value whatsoever, I would appreciate it if you would click on the "Helpful" button below, to let me know that I’m not totally wasting my time by writing these reviews. Field test fully validated the marketing claims!
I’ve tried a lot of chain lubes and cleaners, having worked in the bike industry for 30+ years. While I have only used this for one ride so far, it was impressive enough to review. My bike started out with more black dried gunk caked on the drivetrain than I usually allow to accumulate. Ordinarily, I would have pre-cleaned it before adding lube. But, I figured this stuff claimed to be a cleaner and lube, so I would put it to the test. Recognizing this was not really going to be a fair test, I expected to need to wait and try this on my clean road bike chain before drawing any conclusions. I applied a liberal coat of Presta One and could see that it immediately broke through the crud. Good start. I grabbed a fistful of rags and started wiping down my chain, derailleur and chainring and was really pleased with what I was seeing. Three rags later, the drivetrain looked new. It was shifting and backpedaled so quietly in the stand. Hmmmm…Promising.. I rode for about 90 mins in dry dusty conditions. The drivetrain was smooth, quiet and did not pick up much Trail dust at all.Regarding other comments about the lube being difficult to apply; maybe they changed the container because this couldn’t have been better. Easy to open, control the flow and it closes completely without leaks. I am really happy I bought the large size. Oh, and it really does have a pleasant mint smell.I would say the field test fully validated the marketing claims.Update: after many many miles of road, mtn and gravel rides, this lube continues to exceed expectations.

High-quality cleaner and persistent lubricant for bicycle chains
Lubricating your bicycle chain is worthwhile maintenance. After lubrication typically you ride one gear higher with the same muscular effort; and when your rear sprocket wears out you replace both your rear sprocket and your bicycle chain: friction erodes the chain linkages, and the eroded elongated chain won't fit your new sprocket. This high-quality persistent (i.e., won't rinse off with water) lubricant is non-petroleum based. The liquid lubricant has no petroleum smell, and has appearance and viscosity similar to mayonnaise. After squeezing some lubricant onto a cloth, using my finger I spread the lubricant on the cloth and then ran my bicycle chain through the encircling cloth to remove dirt and old lubricant. I spread additional lubricant on a cloth clean area and then ran my bicycle chain through the encircling cloth to fully lubricate the chain. I then used the lubricated cloth to remove the caked dirt from my rear derailleur's idler wheels. One tool is not optimal for all applications. This product is advertised as a cable lube but it is too viscous to penetrate cable housing ends; a light spray oil (e.g., WD-40) IMO is better suited as a cable lube. This product also is advertised as a bike wash and paint protectant. A lubricated cloth would remove road dirt but was not effective against sticky road tar, sticky tree sap and sticky bug remains; and I don't understand the paint protectant claim. Other solvents (e.g., paint thinner) IMO are better suited as a bike wash, and used with a clean cloth won't harm your bike's paint. There's no question that this product is an excellent bicycle chain cleaner and lubricant, but the other advertised claims IMO merit minus one star.
