Cable Raceways - Floor Cord Protector Cable Shield Cord Cover PVC Floor Wire Protect

We have a framed photo on a paneled wall with spotlights on the picture. Our paneling is walnut in color. Stuffing the cord through the raceway, which I secured to the paneling, hid most of the cord. The part that shows below the raceway is hidden by a sofa, so out of sight. It would be very easy to cut a second raceway to size to hide that part of the cord, but that isn't necessary for our needs. The little bit of cord that shows at the top doesn't bother us. The raceway adhered beautifully to our paneling. It isn't exactly the right color, but blends well with the paneling and looks a lot better than having a dangling cord.

Perfect took a little patience to get the cord in but it works great and blends really well with my wood laminate floor. I didn't stick it down I just let it lay on the floor so you don't see ugly cord from recliner and I can pick it up to clean under it.

The media could not be loaded.  Not the easiest to install. This is my second purchase. First time was during the warmer months. I don't recall having as much difficulty installing it last time.This time, upon arrival, I tried to slide the cover off and was not successful. I thought maybe allowing it to warm up would help (below freezing outside). It didn't. I then tried to find instructions somewhere, none to be found with the package or under product information here.When in doubt, read the reviews. People had used different methods. The one I used was a combination of a couple of them. First I used a hammer to slide the cover one way by a couple inches. Then I pull the base and the cover apart by hand. See video attached. Please make sure to put on gloves and go gentle. You don't want to break the locking mechanism.Once the cord is in place. I then slid the cover back on. The first half was rather easy, I just used my hands. It then got very tight and I had to go back to the hammer again.Would have given it a five star had the installation been easier.

Yes, I bought this without reading the reviews. Yes, I came back to find out how to install my lamp power cord into this beautiful (and rigid and hard to separate) cord cover.I saw the suggestion about using the hammer, sighed, and pulled it out. As I lifted the hammer, I noticed that the other side of the hammer has a claw. Which can be used to pry things apart. Which I did, "unzippping" the cover from the channel.Now, I only pried apart one side, since everyone mentioned putting both sides of the channel back together was nearly impossible. I slipped the lamp cord inside, and it's now safe from the cats :)

Sturdy with good quality. Color is is like a cherry walnut tint.

I hesitated to order this cord cover because of all the negative reviews about getting it open and closed for threading the cord. I easily popped one side of it open, placed the cord, and popped it back closed. It took about two minutes from start to finish, it looks great on my hardwood floor and has eliminated the risk of tripping over a pesky lamp cord. Sturdy, attractive and SOOO simple to use! Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Matches my bamboo floors perfectly, but the paint (or whatever it is) scuffs off right away. Nice weight. I didn't use the double back tape, instead I used strips safe for my floors. READ the reviews BEFORE you separate the pieces! I did not. I cannot get the full strip back together no matter how hard I try, and my attempts removed the coloring so I have further "scuff" marks. I would have given higher score if the cord cover didn't loose the color finish and was easier to run the cord through. I had to open the cord cover in order to lay the recliner cords in the cover, that was the problem. Tried to close it on its "track" but would only slide an inch or two. Tried to "walk" it closed with my fingers, my fingers gave up. So, yes I'm keeping it, it does do what I need it to.

I was hesitant to give these a shot after reading reviews that mention difficulty undoing and reattaching the cover, but that was not my experience at all. Maybe the latest iteration of this product took that negative feedback and made improvements. I had absolutely NO trouble at all unsnapping and re-snapping the cover back into place. This cable cover looks great, is sturdy, and adheres well to the floor. I'm happy, and I'd buy again!
