V-ModaM-200 Professional Studio Headphone - Matte Black

V-Moda M-200 promise, “a reference over-ear studio headphone for precision listening, mixing and mastering.” Perfect, I have been looking for high quality, closed-back headphones for the studio and occasional DJ show. I bought a pair on sale, trusting that Roland’s new V-Moda flagship would be excellent. I was wrong.CablesV-Moda only supplies a short mic cable and a short, non-standard 3.5mm TRRS balanced cable. If the headphones are for the studio, neither of these will work. So, you must buy the V-MODA Coilpro Extended Cable for an extra $30 USD. However, this creates another problem, there’s no room for the coiled cable in the case.EarpadsI like the magnetic earpads, it's a great concept. However, as of Nov 2022, there are no replacement pads available, no OEM, no aftermarket, none. When the pads fail, they cannot be replaced. According to various headphone review sites, people are gluing on XL pads to get by.SoundThe only possible use for these in the studio would be tracking. Although the bass and treble are acceptable, the very forward mids, +6db from 300hz to 1khz, and the -6db valley at 4khz make them unsuitable as reference monitors. According to Sonarworks, the M-200s are not for "critically working with audio (e.g. mixing, mastering, sound design, and other music production activities).”ComfortNot on-ear uncomfortable, but close. The shallow pads let the driver housing press down on your ears. So, they start to hurt after a while. Again, it’s an innovative concept, a sort of on-ear/over-ear hybrid, but not for a studio headphone, which must be worn continuously for hours.Each one of these issues is a deal breaker, so I am returning the V-Moda M-200s. Liebe v moda in habe und Liebe music mit kopfhörer lieb habe ich habe verschiedene kopfhörer aber der v moda 200 studio ist meine Liebling ich habe gekauft weil die Marke vertrauen bevor beim kauft ich habe viel Rezensionen gelesen schlecht bewert ??? Egal kauft ich trotzdem anfang zu hören ja und nein o lala seit ich mit dem dac von ifi mit 4.4 stecker und dann ich sagen o mein gott was ist das ein wunder kein wort mehr nur noch die glücklich in leben was man gesucht und dann gefunden!!! Wünsche firma v moda mit viel glück.

When you buy this headphone, know it is tuned FLAT. If you are used to a lot of other popular consumer headphones (particularly other V-MODAs) these will probably sound woody and dark to you. The bass is light, and there is not really any "sparkle" or "space" in the higher frequencies. I have to say I was disappointed by the sound out of the box, and for many genres end up equalizing it to a slight V (maybe +\- 3 db) which I find more enjoyable.The imaging and detail is pretty good, although I have heard better from other headphones. I suspect the slimmer form factor might negatively contribute here. But they do have a pretty decent soundstage compared to most other closed back headphones I have tried.Overall these are great headphones with a little tweaking, but unless you know you like having a flat response or enjoy equalizing everything, I think you would be better served by other choices.

Muy buen producto , por la relación precio calidad , quizás se pregunten, porque no son baratos precisamente, pero después de tener unos focal de bastante más costo, y ver qué esté les planta cara y tiene una gran calidad , comprenderán lo que les digo, la única pega es que requieres un poco más de atención para equalizarlos, una vez que lo logras , es una joya, y además no llamas mucho la atención, el estuche y diseño compacto es también algo a su favor ..
