Essie is one of the best quality on the market so far. It doesn’t damage nor dry the nails and is very easy to apply on. My only negative comment, and it’s a personal opinion, is that the color is a bit darker than what I expected.

Beautiful red for medium to dark skin. Looks good on every skin colour.

I bought Playing Koi and Without a Stitch and love both of them. As per the bottle, formula is great and looks opaque in one coat. I use both with Essie base coat and top coat and it’s quite long lasting. Playing Koi is a lovely henna colour which looks almost brown with two coats. Very satisfied.

The worst nail varnish I have ever bought. I have an old ballet slipper and loved it so bought a new one. You can see the difference in colour from the picture and also the texture and coverage is no way near the same as the older version. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your money like I feel I have

Lovely nail polish. I might go for a little more natural hue next time. This goes a little bit more towards the white side, I prefer more towards pink. Like a whitish/pink or French manicure pink. But nothing is wrong with this article.

Sono passata da tempo allo smalto tradizionale per cercare di recuperare il danno dopo che continue applicazioni di semipermanente mi hanno rovinato le unghie, l'effetto non è propriamente quello di un semipermanente,men che meno la durabilità ovviamente,in foto il colore dopo due passate di smalto...mi ritengo comunque soddisfatta dal prodotto,non si possono chiedere miracoli ad un semplice smalto,di buono ha che dopo l'applicazione di questa colorazione l'effetto è di unghie naturali,sane e curate,per tutti i giorni va più che bene!mi auguro di esservi stata utile nella vostra scelta e se così fosse mi piacerebbe saperlo :)

I’ve used essie nail varnish before and never experienced this. I’m certain it’s either fake or been tampered with as not only did it come not in the wrapping/seal, it is hardly a nail varnish at all. The consistency is so thin it drips like skimmed milk levels (I tested it against my almond milk and the almond milk was wayyyy thicker) It takes a good 3 coats to get anything close to full coverage. If you put you hand up vertically whilst your nails are drying, the varnish starts to fall down onto your cuticles, even 3-4 mins after application. When putting it on it doesn’t layer well so there’s blotchy sections where the varnish simply hasn’t spread at all. Then there’s the drying; 5 hours after applying it I picked up a jar and it left dents in the nail varnish on my index finger. I then checked using my nail lightly and same again. It still wasn’t completely dry after all that time and therefore can definitely not be used without a topcoat. Saying that however, there are also oxidisation bubbles on a couple of nails from the drying process. I hate to complain on here but I feel like i’ve either been totally scammed or Essie has really gone down the drain in the past year.

Shade: Sand Tropez, applied 3 layers to get required finish with full coverage. Haven’t worn it long enough to see how long it lasts, very nice subtle shade, takes at least 2/3 mins for each layer to dry but would say overall it dries quick and doesn’t smudge. Super happy with the out come!
