2513 Strut Tower Brace for Ford Mustang GT, Cobra - Tubular - Black Powdercoat Finish

This is a result of not paying better attention to all the friggin pop up peripheral adds that claim to be such a bargain. It was nicely made but the small print got past me and it's for older body styles. Mine is an 07 and while looking at strut bars for an 07 this "Great Deal" popped up and like Pavlofs dog I simply bought it.No problem in sending it back though but to avoid a 25% restocking fee I had to buy a BBK bar and they are more expensive than some others I've looked at. So after weighing the numbers I bought one of theirs, then had to pay freight of course to send the wrong one back and am now waiting for a credit to come in on my cc.Lesson is PAY ATTENTION!!Sent wrong item back promptly and got confirmation of reciept. Then it took way too... long to get a credit though and I had to contact them twice. Then the credit still included a restocking fee when I had been told there would be none if I bought the correct part from the same vendor. When I questioned the vendor about the restocking fee she claimed not to have told me that. I insisted and told her I would not have bought from them if there had been a restocking fee on the first item. She then proceeded to tell me what a hard ass her boss was and that it might cost her the job and she was a poor student etc et al. Finally told me she would send me the difference personally in order to keep her job. I told her I would not accept it from her, only from the company. She finally relented and they gave me the lousy $10.On top of that the correct item suffered from poor fit and interference when using a thin wall deep socket to re-attach the shock tower bolts because the recessed holes' diameter simply was barely wide enough for the nut and left little clearance for the socket.Buy another brand is my final call on this outfit.

Good quality product ,From BBK, this is a oven heat paint or something like that, shiny look black paint. The customs inspected the box,they open it, and put some tape to close the box. I thick the custom open the box up-side-down and scratch the paint at 4 place, when they put the Strut Tower out of the box. When the Strut Tower Brace begin to rust, i repaint it.If Gripp no that,they will be wrap the Strut Tower Brace with some paper or foam to protect the paint. This is why I put a 4 stars.

This clears 302 with Trick Flow Upper & Lower intake plus 1" intake spacer. There is an interference with the A/C line that wraps around the driver's side & back of MY engine, the PCV fitting in the side of the upper intake, and my cold air intake tube. It looks to hit the factory seam at the firewall. The hardware is not appropriate for the threaded holes in the shock towers. The finish was fine - gloss black with a sticker. Good luck.

BBK never fails to amaze me, I thought I was going to have to remove the plastic shielding under the windshield wipers and do some cutting but this strut bar bolts right on with no problem. Me and my brother installed it in less than an hour and a impact gun with an angled socket adapter is what I recommend to do it faster.

Unfortunately Ford no longer offers this front tower brace for the older Mustangs. However, fortunately, BBK does. It appears to be a "clone" of the discontinued Ford brace and fits around everything that it is supposed to fit around. Good job BBK and Amazon.
