St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body, 6.7 Fl Oz

St. Tropez has some of the best self tanning products. This tinted tanner is a great product to gradually build a natural looking tan. Thanks to the tint you will get a bit of a glow even after your first application. I recommend applying it before bed and then showering in the morning because it does have a light scent that some might recognize as a self tanner. Make sure to exfoliate regularly so it doesn’t build up around the ankles. I get sun on my arms from driving and from regular outdoor exercise but use an SPF of 50 so my legs never seem to catch up. This product gives me a great natural color and helps my legs match the natural color from the sun. It’s moisturizing and non irritating and doesn’t settle in the hair follicles like I have seen some instant tanners do. With regular exfoliation and deliberate attention at application, you will end up with a smooth, natural looking tan. Once you get your color to your desired depth you only need to apply the product once or twice a week.

This stuff is awesome and idiot proof! Believe me, I’m the WORST at applying self tanner and always end up with streaks and huge dark spots. Never have with this. It’s subtle, so if you’re looking for “just returned from Jamaica”, this isn’t the product for you. If you’re looking for “just spent a day in my backyard pool and used sunscreen semi- responsibly” then this IS for you. Every time I use it , people notice and say something. It’s a nice healthy glow!

This is the best self tanner I've ever used. I got a sample bottle from Ipsy and have been obsessed ever since. I'm naturally pale and my face does not tan well. If I put on a tiny dab of this stuff all over my face, within a few hours I'll have a gorgeous sun kissed look. I wear it under my makeup and it still works wonders. Recently I was in a wedding and used this for my legs and arms as well and everyone was complementing my "natural" tan. By the way, the sample bottle lasted at least 6 months and the bottle I ordered was HUGE! It will probably last all year or more... certainly worth the $30.

I've never used gradual tanner before. I did a bunch of research and the reviews for this product are great and i can see why. I exfoliated with a scrub and shaved yesterday. Today I exfoliated with a mitt. I waited about an hour until I was dry then used a mitt to apply all over. I buffed until smooth. I waited about 45 mins.it is still moisturizing on the skin but not tacky. The color difference is immediate and im impressed! No smell or anything. Awesome!Update: after about a week i can say that this product is excellent. It is perfect if you need quick color and it is pretty much fool proof. Although, i wouldnt use my hands.I have only 2 things to comment on. These things do not impact my 5 star rating.1. If you layer repeatedly, it may turn orange2. To get a good deep gold the first time, it requires a good amount of product. Some of which is soaked up by the glove. If I was committed to using this product every day, I would run out quickly. $30 worth of lotion every 2 weeks.... How does $2 and some change a day sound to maintain your tan. Or $15 a week! Using plastic gloves would illimate this issue but may leave it streaky.Last thing! If you HATE tanner biscuit smell, try spraying your self with alcohol based vanilla scented body spray or perfume. I use philosophy sweet cream and end up smelling like cookies or cake. Use that biscuit smell to your advantage! Lol

I got this as a trial in an Ipsy bag. Loved it!! No orange, no streaking, lovely light smell and lasts for 4-5 days. I applied once a day, two days in a row and achieved the color I wanted. One application will begin to show in a few hours after application. Full color within 48 hours.

After trying many different brands of self tanners, this one is definitely the best. It's a bit more expensive, but it applies easily without streaking and the color is so completely natural looking...not the least bit orange! There is also very little residual odor, and what does remain is light and fresh. I'm thrilled to have found this product since my skin is so fair and I burn quite easily. Now I can now have a nice golden tan year round without any damaging UV exposure.

fair skinned person here with a little bit of color from the sun (its august so im not completely pale) bought this for a wedding im in just to boost my color a little bit. After just one application i am pretty dark, nothing gradual about it. i put it on before bed after showering and exfoliating, then showered 8 hours later when i woke up for work. the smell at first is mild but after sleeping with it on i woke up and STUNK like a typical self tanner. The lotion also takes a long time to dry so try not to sit up against anything for at least an hour or more. its worth 3 stars because all my color is even and no large streaks (except my feet do look a little discolored but i think that happens with every single self tanner no matter how hard you try)

This stuff is tops! I mix it with a homemade lotion (1. to make it less streaky, 2. to make the tan more gradual, and 3. to stretch the life of the product because I'm a cheapo) and it makes my skin feel suuuuper smooth! Bear in mind, this is not a typical sunless tanning lotion because it is tinted. You will start seeing a bronzing effect right away. I use a soapy fingernail brush on my cuticles, palm, and between my fingers after applying to keep them from turning crazy colors.

I bought this based on the reviews and have always wanted to give this a go as I usually use st moritz and wanted to compare. Well I am impressed. I am not the best at preparing my skin but made sure I did moisturize the dry areas first. I used it on my legs first before trying it on my face. Was very pleased it didn't have a strong smell and overnight it developed into a lovely even sunkissed color. It fades evenly and I haven't had to top it up much. I would buy this again. The only thing that I found a pain was that it was very creamy and took a bit of rubbing in which I did in a circular motion which I think helped it not to streak. I am going to use this alongside my st moritz mousse as I like them both! I did feel more confident using this on my face as it's gradual so didn't look like a shock the next morning.

Love this lotion. A lot of people don’t realise I wear this. They actually thought this is my natural complexion when I reveal to them that I use this. I’ve bought countless bottles over the years. Never expierience patchiness when it wears away other than slightly on the ankles but that’s just personal. I love the way you get instant colour, so you can use one day as a tinted lotion without building up if you just have an occasion and can’t be bothered going all out with a full fake tan. Builds up beautifully too and people think you’ve been in the sun. They say, “wow you look really tanned!” Not anything of the sort about if it’s fake. I feel as though this is the first product I can actually get away with doing my hands too!!! Sometimes I don’t wash it away I just simply wipe my hands on a towel and my hands are tanned too. Very natural

Best tanner ever! Have tried them all, with generally so-so results. I am extremely fair-skinned but this one goes on evenly. No patchiness, no orange tint, just a clean, even bronzy glow. Don't even exfoliate!

I love this tan. I've used the standard mouse fake tan before but I always struggled to make sure there wasn't any streaks and it is a pain at how long it takes to develop. This tan builds gradually but even after the first application you can see a difference. If you were wanting it for a night out you can still apply a couple of coats and get the tan you want. It's quite thick but not sticky and it is really moisturizing. I get really dry skin on my face so after a shower I put on my normal moisturizer and wait for it to soak in and then I apply the St. Tropez gradual tan. Such soft skin, even tan and for me it even looks more natural on the feet, knees, elbows, and hands. You do need to wash your hands after though to make sure the palms aren't orange but the back of the hands still pick up a nice colour.

I read the previous reviews and decided to give this a try instead of The NKD Organic Gradual Self Tanner, however I am a little disappointed because of the typical strong smell self tanners leave, which I don't like very much. It's also important to moisturize dry areas like knees and elbows as they will appear darker if you don't. The color develops quickly and develops quickly and stays on for a few days, unless you reapply.
