Effective. Aides in sleep regulation.

My wife has used this product (white bottle, 1mg) for four years and it worked great.However, Life Extension recently changed to a blue bottle (also 1mg) but now it has no effect and my wife cannot get to sleep without several hours of tossing and turning.Obviously a change of bottle color will not impact effectiveness. There also must have been a change to the medicine — From highly effective to not at all effective.We are ordering another brand of melatonin today and will update this review when we can report an effective replacement for Life Extension.

I read that melatonin can help night shift workers like me get better sleep with less wakefulness, but that you should take the smallest dose possible. I was skeptical that only 1 mg would actually work, but it really does.I take it with my magnesium about 30 minutes before my sleep time and I fall asleep in my chair. I feel like the quality of my sleep is better and I wake up fewer times. I've only been taking it for a week or two, so I hope things keep improving with continued use.The capsules are really tiny, so they are nothing to toss in with the two larger capsules I take before bed. I will keep taking this.
