Samior's seventy dollar knives have been perfect for me. Not true for this one. But salvageable.
UPDATE 7-3-22Crisis AVERTED ! I had some inspiration that I might be able to remove the screws from the non blade end of the handle, swing the ABS scale out of the way, while keeping the ball-bearing end of the knife all together and unbend some of the tension from the lock bar so the knife would open easier.I happened to see in the description for this knife " brass washer pivot". Well heck don't I feel a fool warning my readers about the "unimaginably tiny ball bearings in the pivot ".I whipped out my TORX T6 tool and quickly disassembled both ends of the knife with all the confidence in the world that this was going to be the proverbial "piece of cake" quick-O fixumup. Just brass washers; what could go wrong ? !And then I saw them !Here I was with no protection ! Practicing unsafe knife disassembly in front of Bob and everybody . . .AAAAAHHHHHH . . . BALL-BEARINGS ! ! ! !fortunately they were / are still in little brass cages and with great care I was able to lift the cage off with all balls in situ.Whhheeeeyooooh ! That was scary/surprising.So yeah. No prob dude (and dudets) : )What I found as the REAL CULPRIT for the impossible flipping problem (see my original review below) was a badly bured detent hole, where the fixed in place (won't fall out) detent ball, clicks into the side of the blade near the pivot . . . the hole had a big bur all around the hole which amounted to a sharp edge that the detent ball had a huge problem jumping over when one attempts to deploy the blade using the flipper tab.I smoothed off this bur (think of the detent hole as a cup holder and the bur as a coffee cup sticking up out of it). I recommend two inexpensive tools to use :Get at the very least the DMT brand plastic diamond paddle in COARSE (the black one).I strongly recommend also getting the DMT diamond paddle in SUPER FINE as well. (this one is blue)Do not let the word "diamond" scare you; they are inexpensive for what you get and take heart, you can use these to totally sharpen and touch up the knife ! ! !. (available here on Amazon)While we are talking tools I strongly recommend the Knipex Gear Wrench Pliers for using to unbend some of the tension on the lock bar while you have the knife apart. It's EASY !Get either the 125mm pliers or the 150mm ones.(also available here on Amazon)Brace yourself ! These pliers are NOT inexpensive. Not by a lorry load, but they have smooth jaws designed to protect metal surfaces and they are so bloody well designed and useful you will be thanking me for the rest of your days.Take the unbending in a couple-three under-doing-it tries. Yes this means putting the knife back together each time to try it. (It's only two screws until you get it right then put in the last screw in the pocket clip). . . . you wanted to be a knife dude right ? Here's where you earn your first merit badge . . . commme onnnn . . . this is easier than sharpening.End result : easy to flick my knife open / knife still stays shut in pocket. Don't forget the purple locktite on the screws.PS: if it flicks open easy but the blade does not swing out with enough momentum to lock = you unbent the lock bar too much. Bend it the other way a touch.Still too hard to flip open . . . ? You know what to do. Unbend bar a touch.Bottom line for me and this knife : Heck i'm HAPPY ! . . . gee . . . I liked the army green one too . . . maybe I'll order one of those as well . . .Previous UPDATE : 6-29-22in these reviews Dylan wrote : The blade's plastic housing is cut with sharp, abrasive edges. Actuating the blade makes it likely that you'll sustain a minor cut from the plasticYes; I to have experienced this .Samior ! Get your shhhtuff in one pile or stop making these cheep knives.Please.PS: use the DMT diamond paddle(s) to smooth these handles so they are not sharp. My original review begins here :Unless you are a seriously experienced knife tinkerer skip this ABS handled knife. To back up for a minute the two other nearly identical Samior knives I own, one Carbon Fiber handle with M390 blade and the other a Titanium handle with M390 blade were perfect out of the box. I've owned and used them for years and they are just great ! The Carbon Fiber one I carry in my shirt pocket along side my pen every day at work and I've had zero problems with it loosening up or not flipping easily. Now to this ABS handled version . . . gosh what a mess !Out of the box (and the box was factory sealed / not a return) the blade was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to flip open. I have a boat load of flipper knives and some were difficult to flip until I adjusted them but this ABS Samoir flipper knife . . . nah dude, nah . . .just . . . nah. To quote a coworker : )The pivot was not too tight. Once I had pried the blade out the pivot swung nice on the ball bearing pivot. With MUCH fiddling I discovered a way I could get the knife to open with out a helper and a big hammer ( that's a joke son, but it was nearly that bad ).While holding the end of the handle with one hand right at the two screws that hold the pocket clip on USE YOUR OTHER HAND with your thumb on the flipper tab and your index finger on the spine of the blade right at the pivot, now push with your thumb and kind of rotate that hand and the blade will pop open.If you are happy to use two hands and having everything just right as far as gripping both ends of the handle just-so, EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THIS KNIFE, then go ahead and buy it. Other wise I recommend one of the $70 Samoirs. To the comments from other reviewers about this ABS knife loosening up and falling apart . . .I can concur. Just in the few minutes I've had the knife I decided I would work the blade open and closed a whole bunch using the two hand technique I have described above to hopefully make the "detent" wear in so it would not retain the blade closed so tenaciously. After about thirty or forty open and close cycles the pivot loosened up A LOT and the knife was well on it's way to falling apart.SoYeah.With some loctite on the pivot screw threads (use purple . . . no . . . forget the Blue. . . trust me, Purple is made for such tiny screws). Clean any oil off the threads inside and out, put on the loctite and let it sit for a day.THENyou might have a hope in Hades that this thing will stay together. BUT you will still need to use both hands to open it.Why is that ? Well the ABS handle is VERY flexy, unlike the Carbon Fiber which is quite strong and rigid. So as you grip the handle enough to try to flip the knife open with-one-hand-only, the fact that you are bowing the ABS handle scales inward toward the blade from the force of your grip causes the lock to press significantly harder against the blade detent hole and the detent ball cannot pop out of the hole as it should when flipping the blade open.Silly huh ! ?One thing I really like about this knife is the handle is fuller and thicker than the Carbon Fiber and the Titanium models that I have. Also the texture on the ABS model is quite welcome and why I bought it.I will keep the knife and take it apart and put what is called a detent ramp at the detent hole ( I bought this knife to modify it anyway; I'm going to make the blade way shorter so it is kind of like a pocket flipper Exacto crafts knife).Unless you are up to major surgery on knives look else where.PS : the ball bearings in the pivot are unimaginably tiny and the disassembly must be done in a plastic bag so you don't loose them. So tiny they will get lost in the weave of a cloth. Good luck.

Pleasantly Surprised
This little knife comes razor sharp out of the box, mine was sharp enough to shave the peach fuzz off my arm. The body of it is made of cheap flexible plastic that I don’t imagine will last for long through heavy use. That said, it’s been my go-to since receiving it, and has made quick work of everything from boxes & letters to cutting nylon rope from tree stakes in the garden.I’d give it a full five but its already getting noticeably dull and the flimsy plastic body is concerning.Update: 7/4/23I’ve had this knife for roughly a month now. I haven’t babied it at all - I’ve used it for cutting nylon rope/cord, hemp twine, harvesting flowers, and countless letters/boxes. A few observations:1. The blade is getting visibly rusty in a few places. I wasn’t expecting this to happen so quickly. It’s only been 3-4 weeks and this thing gets wiped clean and goes back into my purse or pocket.2. The whole thing started to loosen very fast. Not a problem if you have precision torx bits, but a very annoying dealbreaker for some (understandably).3. The blade gets weirdly offset by the locking mechanism. This didn’t happen at first, so I’m beginning to wonder if the plastic handles of the knife are failing. The plastic isn’t special, so it stands to reason it could be warping under stress leading to a lot of play with that mechanism. All that said, its still razor sharp (seriously!) and it only cost me $15. I don’t love the idea of having to replace it quickly, but you really can’t be mad at it for the cost.

Nice gentleman's pocket knife for everyday carry
This is an excellent gentleman's pocket knife for everyday carry. It was slightly smaller than expected, but no worries as it still functions perfectly fine for the intended usage (EDC for strings, fingernails etc.). The action is a bit tight, to be expected from a new knife with an unused opening mechanism. After many open/close actions, the action is breaking in nicely.

Good for the price
Good quality for the price, it feels good in the hand and smooth movement. The downside is the screw gets loose for a certain amount of flipping it open, I use a small hex wrench to tighten it back again, easy fix.

Great, but flimsy
This is an amazing knife! Super light weight, slim, and the perfect sharpness. The only problem is out of the box it's kinda flimsy. On the second day the locking mechanism came off so I had to take apart the knife and re-add it. It was an easy fix though. Just make sure to tighten up the screws on your knife!

Notably cheap
The blade's plastic housing is cut with sharp, abrasive edges. Actuating the blade makes it likely that you'll sustain a minor cut from the plastic, making what's otherwise a decent deal a rather questionable choice to actually use. It comes with a small pouch and strap, but I'd rather the budget be placed toward rounding off the housings sharp edges - those cut like a cheap/dull razor on their own

Locking feature broke
The bar that stops the blad when flicked open fell outIn the first week.So the blad does not lock in place. This was my only issue so if this did not happen then it would have been an ok knife I'm not sure if every knife is like this or if it was just mine.
