Excellent product
Absolutely delighted with this CD player, there are so many features included at an amazing price and as a Senior citizen easy to use.

Compact, cheap but good
I got one to use with mains electricity and then decided to get a second one to use with batteries in the garden! I found that I had a lot of CDs I wasn't using because I mainly listen to them in the car and I wasn't driving anywhere during these Covid lockdowns. I didn't have an up-to-date CD player, so I got this inexpensive Oakcastle one, partly on the basis of the favourable reviews, and was delighted with its performance! Now I'm catching up with my CDs I haven't listened to for a year. Addendum: the second Oakcastle CD player/radio is also fine, but the batteries seemed to go quickly, at least for the CD player part, although the radio still worked. (Well, no real surprise there, if you use it for hours and hours!) Be aware that if you are using batteries and it seems to malfunction, it could just be the batteries and it will work perfectly on mains electricity.

Rubbish - honestly, AVIOD buying this!!
I always read reviews for obvious reasons so I have had to trust the opinions of the reviewers in the past usually a good idea!!! they must have been reviewing a different item this time!! This machine is cheap and nasty it feels too light to have any real substance to it its just plastic rubbish, the CD lid is so hard to open I thought it was broken (it is now it eventually snapped at the hinge!) or had a hidden release catch, it hasn't its just rubbish! To put a CD in or indeed take it out (even harder) is almost impossible with big hands or arthritis as the intended user has. The display is awful, illegible. The buttons are well too small and too close together, too hard to press to get a response - just rubbish. Honestly avoid buying this item, its.... yep rubbish! oh the handles a good idea! IT WAS RETURNED NEXT DAY!

Cheap, buyer beware
The back plug into the player started sparking slightly and then it skips through tracks, not a good player, and the return window is so narrow I can’t even return a faulty electrical item - buyer beware.

Only works on mains
I wanted an inexpensive , portable radio/ CD player for my craft room. I wanted something small, that I could place anywhere, without having to worry about plugging into mains and having flex to trip over. This seemed to fit the Bill, but sadly, having paid out nearly as much for batteries as the cost of the radio, I find it will not work on the batteries for more than 20 minutes. Maddening, as I have to plug it in - which defeats the object - and the flex is short!!

Good little radio for the money
Good little radio only thing for me is it could select fm radio first when you first turn it on selects Bluetooth by default but that's only my personal preference overall I was quite impressed by this little radio 👍

Recommend this for the price.
My wife wanted a portable CD player, and she's not too fussed about really high sound quality; she just wanted something to play her music while she's working in the garden or pottering in the kitchen, and this is perfect. I tried a cheaper solution but it didn't have a lid, and the sound was worse. This plays CDs, connects to a phone with Bluetooth, and will play music from a USB stick. I've tried all ways and they all work fine, and the whole thing is easy to use.Minus one star for the slightly naff power switch, but this unit is just what was needed. I bought the pink one, which my wife says looks like a power ranger lol.
