For what it is, good purchase.
Pros:- inexpensive, given what it is.- Very sturdy upright poles for hardware attachment - best feature (6U poles are well marked and aligned well)- Detachable sides, door.- Space between the cage bar (6u positions) and the front is about three inches. AMPLE room for LAN cables, handles for servers, etc. Very nice room. For example, the handles on SuperMicro 1U units are well back from the front and cables are not stressed at all w/ the door closed.Cons- Didn't realize that the back plate is fixed - cannot open the back side at all. (certainly not a fault of advertising though)- WORST CAGE NUTS EVER! As in ... when you attach them, they will easily fall out. When you get them to stick, apply pressure and attach the screw for a device they spin in place. SO thrilled I had someone give me a bag of HP grade cage nuts and screws, if I didn't have that I'd be sending this item back.- Access to the lower most and upper most cage nut positions is very awkward.

Good stuff
I purchased this to replace the structure wiring cabinet the builder installed in my home. I have no idea why builder's still put these things in, but I digress. This rack is the perfect size and price for your average home-owner. It definitely checks all the boxes. There are two good-sized fans for cooling and the sides open for running wires. I have my network switch and CATV booster/amplifier mounted inside. I added a power strip to it as well. Everything fits in there. It looks organized (until you open the sides) and I'm happy.NavePoint was quick with shipping and the rack got here as fast as a Prime order I had made the same day. Can't complain about that! The keyholes in the back aren't quite stud-width apart. It IS possible to mount this on 16-inch on center studs, but you have to angle one side in. I used lag bolts to hang it. There were some sort of anchors with the rack, but I couldn't say anything about them as I didn't open them. Just keep all that in mind. The fans work great. They move a lot of air, but are a hair noisy because of it. I can hear them on the other side of the wall when I walk downstairs, but it's not a big deal to me. I could easily unplug them if it got to the point of annoyance.Other than that, I'm completely happy with the rack mount and if this is the size you're looking for, it'll do the same with a ton of cash to spare.

Good box, but be careful
It's a fine box to put stuff in such as modems, routers, switches, servers, etc... The 'locking' mechanism sucks, so don't expect it to be foolproof. Also, don't use the default drywall screws. The fans are medium noise, not as noisy as some of the comments suggest. I had to use a dremmel to cut the bottom a tiny bit to allow plugs to go through. I ordered a shelf for this unit only to find out that I had to use a dang drill to install it. Oh well, still not bad. If you're using this for home use, it'll do the trick.

The door fell off during installation
The door was tightened before the unit was mounted. Nave sent me a new door for $34 but neglected to send the hardware nor was the lock pre-installed. It got it to work but it has been a hassle.Holds equipment great, but be very careful during installation.

Great network rack
Very nice network rack. Would purchase again! Fits all of my stuff with ease just wish the sides were lockable as they are able to be taken out with one switch. However for a home network it isn't that big of an issue. The fans are loud but they do the job.
