The cards themselves are fantastic, two-sided
***Just the same with my review of the Field Manual, I do work with MBG but I bought this product on my own and as a consumer. I did not work on IAZ.***The Player Kit was damn near a four star for me (I'll explain)), but the journal... oh that motherfrackin journal is so damn sexy. The cards themselves are fantastic, two-sided, and feature custom art ON EVERY SINGLE CARD. Which really is mind blowing when you see the level of variation in each portrait. My one complaint is that there is only one deck included inside, and this means your group will likely need two player kits so that players can have builds that share identical cards. Now, there are plans for just selling the card decks, which is great, but currently as an Amazon shopper I only have options to purchase the Player Kit when I need additional cards. That's a bit of an investment.At any rate, the journal is amazing. Tons of useful information about Vectors are included, an entire lexicon (also from the Field Manual) allows you to easily access what you need to flavor up your dialogue, a card sleeve, character information, and just so many awesome additives it really makes you ponder how it took this long for a product like this to exist as a standard. The rules for the game are easy to pick-up on, and all of our character creation took place in less than 10 minutes time. Games tend to be fast-paced, and offer flexibility to your groups play-styles.Overall I'd say one more deck of cards would have made this purchase perfect for me. I'd give this a 4 and a half stars out of 5, for making me want to buy a second kit for another deck of cards, and so that I can hermetically seal that beautiful journal in my trophy case.
