Great read
My own kids, brother and sister, find this hilarious as it echoes their own fights. We read it often.

A miss
Book is a good print. But story is very mediocre. Both my kids didn't like it, and we have many issues of the bears.

Missed the Mark on the Lesson, Doesn't Explain Taking Responsibility or Consequences, Definite Miss
We are huge Berenstain Bears fans in our house and normally love all the stories and the values/lessons they teach. This one however, I felt missed the mark in terms of the lesson. The story starts with Brother and Sister arguing over who's fault it is when the vase gets broken - Mama is sick of them blaming each other and she demands to know what happened as Papa comes in and simply says let's clean it up because "there's enough blame to go around." Yes, they should've cleaned it up, but Mama and Papa missed the mark in explaining personal responsibility and taking responsibility for your part in what went wrong instead of blaming it on someone else. I had to really explain that to my 5 year old because the lesson wasn't very clear in this one.Right after that, Brother and Sister break the window playing baseball and the same exact thing happens. The book really should've expanded on the idea that you really need to take personal responsibility and that there are consequences for making poor choices other than just cleaning the mess and moving on. Overall, definitely not the best Berenstain effort and not one we read more than 2 or 3 times.
