"Cruz Missile." The first installment in my Political Weathervanes series featuring 2016 presidential candidates. More dangerous than any weapon manufactured by the Raytheon Company, Ted Cruz, the Canadian-born fiscally conservative senator from Texas who shut down the U.S. government so he could read from Dr Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham--costing the U.S. economy $20 billion and tanking the republican party's credibility. The term "political weathervane," coined by republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman during his 2012 campaign, describes a politician who frequently changes positions on important issues. Special thanks to Disney illustrator/political cartoonist extraordinaire Ed Wexler for allowing me to use his cartoon that appeared in U.S. News & World Report. I will be reaching out to both sides of the political aisle in this series--truly a bi-partisan effort. These unique pieces of American political history are sure to become priceless collector's items. This piece is hand-sculpted in pure copper and silver alloy. Measures 26 inches in length x 15 inches in height. Incredibly detailed, right down to the Larry Mahan goat roper cowboy boots. Up next, the "I'll Be So Great For America It'll Make Your Head Spin" Donald Trump political weathervane. . .
