I personally never paid any attention to the purity grade until I bought a carbon fiber pool cue shaft. To properly clean it use Iaopropyl alcohol 65% or better.In North Carolina all the stores are wiped out of all alcohol except 50% purity for a dollar. With the Covet 19 I ordered some first aid supplies when I found all I needed on Amazon. Happy with the products and pricing. I have supplies I hope I do not have to use if the world goes crazy after the election. I had cleaned my cue shaft with the alcohol wipes sent. Cleaned my cue again with Jermee alcohol 99.9% it removed a lot more residue than the 65% alcohol wipes sent. Thats why I gave it a good review I thought it was cleaned but not like the 99.9% alcohol. cleaned it. You can google medical grade alcohol and check it out. Happy with my cleaning result and the smell is a lot stronger .

There is a very slight smell of alcohol, but it is not unpleasant (unless you don't like that smell). I would say it's not that overpowering a smell, but your experience may be different.

Q: can/will this remove the perfume/fragrance smell from clothing?

I wouldn’t use it on clothing. Washing your clothes with soap and Arm & Hammer washing soda, or 8 Mule Borax will work, and brighten the clothes as well. The best use for the alcohol is cleaning electronics and hard surfaces.
