Poor Customer Service from LCH, SmartGuard & Amazon - not thrillled with chair
The chair has failed after 6 months of moderate use. One of the pedestal feet cracked were the caster is inserted which makes the chair unstable. This should be the most durable part of the chair. So I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement pedestal. Their response back was we are only responsible for defect for 30 DAYS! Who buys a chair that the manufacturer does not want to honor for their craftsmanship for only 30 days. I would expect a minimum of a year, but nope, LCH spelled it out in their response that's all they were obligated to under their Amazon contract. I’m not happy so I investigate my original order and find out I bought a 5 year SmartGuard Protection Plan with my “recent” Amazon Purchase stating that it covers “Mechanical/Electrical Failures - Coverage begins after the manufacturer's warranty expires. So, you would think that I would be covered, NOPE. Well, I got online and went to the SmartGuard website there I was directed to another site called “360 Central - My Protection Plans “ where, I selected the choice to start an “Inquiry” for a Claim. I spent time describing the chair failure and submitted my Claim. Only to get the following response “Claim can not be filed on this plan because : There was an error processing your request, please contact customer service to complete your claim. I attempted at least 4 times to enter a claim submission but each failed in the same way. So I decided to phone customer service. So I clicked the “Contact Us” in the upper right corner from the “360 Central” screen and low & behold I get the “360 Central” submission screen again. I search the webscreens for a phone number but only got the “360 Central” submission screen. I then dug back into my June Amazon records and emails and finally found a PHONE NUMBER in the small print of the SmartGuard Protection Plan email I saved as a PDF. So now I will call and get the SmartGuard Plan to remedy the chair’s failure. After giving the Customer Service Clerk my data and experience, she told me my 5-year-plan would not cover my chair I asked why. She stated the plan would not cover any mechanical defects until after 1 year and I would have to address this with the manufacturer, LCH – who already stated they were not responsible for any defects after30 days. So it seems that Amazon has put me into an 11 month not covered period by their contract with the manufacturer and their use of a SafeGuard warranty that does not cover you after purchase an item for a year.THANK YOU, Amazon, LCH & SafeGuard for UNbelievable Customer Support. Not Happy,P R Scovill

Supportive
Really like this chair. Having never spent more than $50 for an office chair, I was nervous to take the plunge and get this one, but I’m so glad I did. At first I thought it was a little stiff, but then I realized my old chair just severely lacked in any kind of support. I no longer need a lumbar pillow. Great chair all around- support, quality, style. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent chair for the price
Chair is great. Ordered 4 to use at our game table. What the directions don’t tell you is that you shouldn’t tighten armrest screws to the seat unti you attach back to armrests. I figured that out after putting the first one together. Also, chair size is not for anyone under appx. 5’10”. My feet just barely sit flat on the floor and my wife’s feet don’t touch even when adjusted all the way down. Overall, easy to assemble and very comfortable with very good lumbar support. I’d buy it again.

Terrible instructions, questionable fabric
I received my LCH high-back chair a few days ago and am certainly not sure about this purchase. To start, installation was ridiculous. The instructions provided were a single sheet of paper, no words, just images (see attached). You'd think that given the lack of words, the build would be a symmetric build in that no notes would be required on which arm rest goes on which side, for example. Not the case! Each arm rest goes on a particular side of the chair, unbeknownst to anyone who reads the instructions. So, good waste of 20 minutes trying valiantly to attach both arm rests with screws that seemed way too short only to find out that if you flip the arms, the screws go in much further and can attach to the back. From there, more problems! The bolts on the armwrest do not readily line up with the holes on the side of the back and thus the nuts or whatever is in there. So, even with other bolts loosened, I had to get out my impact driver to smash the bolts into place. Not something a consumer product should have to require.During this process, one of the bolts tore away part of the leather. It's not visible once the arms are on, but it's clear that this is the typical cheap, thin leather you see on chairs these days.On the positive note, it otherwise assembled easily and is pretty comfortable. However, I'm not sure how much longevity this thing has.

Great chair, but I don't quite fit well in it
This is a very nice chair, and it's quite well-made. It has good padding and PU leather and stitching. For me, personally, it's more of a 4 star item, as I don't fit right in it, but if you are a little shorter and broader than me, you would probably fit nicely. I am about 6 foot tall and thin, and my knees come over the end of the chair a couple of inches, and the arms are too far wide that I have to fit my arms out on the armrests. If you were about 5'10 and 180 lbs., then I think this chair would probably be a perfect fit. 5 stars because it is a very nice chair, even if it does not fit me personally quite right.

Not Assembleable!
My boyfriend came over to my place to try to help me assemble this after trying to assemble it myself. He had to ask his other friend who works at the hospital and assembles wheelchairs for a living to come look at it, and even after messing around with the arms and the screws, the screws don’t line up with the holes making the arms and the upper part of the chair impossible to mount. I have tried to contact the seller four times already asking for a full refund, and I hope they will be cooperative in reimbursing me for something I essentially can’t use. I WAS pretty excited about getting this chair otherwise...
