Great saucier, top handle and pot handle stay cool, great heat distribution
Great saucier - handles on the pan and the top stay cool (All Clad cannot make the same claim), cleans up easily due to the Silvinox coating, excellent heat distribution, heavy duty and looks great. I own this 3.5qt Demeyere, a 2qt Demeyere, and a 1.4qt Falk.I attached a photo of my 3 saucier pans. The small one with the internal rivets is a Falk 1.4qt, the center one is is a Demeyere 2qt and the far right side is marked as the 3.5qt size in the photo. Falk makes great pans as well - copper centers, really great cookware but pricey and exceptionally heavy. My 1.4qt Falk weighs about 3.1 pounds and you can catch that pan occasionally for $139.The Demeyere pans are awesome - I like them for sauces, gravy, boiling veggies and pasta. The only real limitation on these pans is that a steamer insert won't fit - you will need a straight sided saucepan for that use. They also lack handle rivets - the insides of the pots are smooth and they carry a lifetime warranty. The Industry 5 sauciers are 5 layers - 2 stainless on the top and bottom and 3 aluminum layers sandwiched in between. This is a heavy pan - nearly 5 pounds and for $139 (fluctuates), it's a steal. The top is dual layer stainless steel and the handle stays cool - none of my legacy All Clad can make the same claim and it's annoying. I'm slowly weeding the old All Clad pots out for that reason plus the uneven cooking they provide.Demeyere is made in Belgium and the quality is apparent the second you pick it up and enhanced when you put it on a stovetop. Great cookware - hope that helps!

Awesome Pan. Want Better Handles? Can't Stand Rivets? Perfectly Versatile Intro Piece for This Brand
I cannot believe the price of this particular pan on Amazon. I got it for under $100... perhaps an introductory price for an introductory piece because not all Demeyere pots/pans are this steeply discounted.I have a collection of All-Clad and was very interest to try this pan because of it's unique shape and size. I have a wide variety in my collection already, but for daily cooking in my household, I find that I typically reach for 3 and 4 quart pots/pans with a leaning toward the saucier shape for it's versatility. Unfortunately, I only have two of these in my current collection, so I came shopping. I could have purchased another All-Clad. But now that I have 8+ pieces, I wanted to try something different. This pan, wow. Really exceeded my expectations. The quality and craftsmanship is superb. The design is beautiful. Also at 3.5 quart size combined with the saucier/rounded bottom shape, really filled avoid in my collection. It also makes this the perfect intro piece for someone to try out the brand since you can just about cook anything in this size and shape pan. Personally, I cannot tell the performance difference between my 3-Ply All-Clad and 5-Ply Demeyere. But what I do like better on this pan compared to my All-Clad, is the handle. The Demeyere features a solid casted handle that has the casted texture. It's more comfortable than the polished u-shaped hollow handle of the All-Clad especially on larger heavier pans. Also, no rivets inside! After a few years of exclusively cooking with All-Clad...I have to say the rivets are getting old. What I mean is... taking extra time, care, and sometimes equipment to clean gunked up food and debris around those rivets is getting old...real old. Sometimes, I just leave it and then it builds up and looks gross. Just writing about those rivets is irritating. This also has a nice rounded lip for pouring. Not all the All-Clad pans have that. I understand the newer models or larger sizes may have the rounded lip.. but my 2, 3 and 4 quart All-Clad pots/pans do not. The handle on the lid of the Demeyere doesn't get hot like the All-Clad.I am really happy with this purchase and am already eye-balling the 4 quart Demeyere pot. Looks like All-Clad needs to take a look at their competition and up their game.

Wonderful pans, but oh, those stickers!
You won't have to look very far for convincing testimonials about the quality of Demeyere cookware. I'll just add my 1+. Demeyere makes serious professional quality cookware that anyone will be proud to own and happy to use. Professional quality items are not always the most user friendly or easy to use - after all, professionals know how to use their tools. These pans require a little effort and more care in cleaning than even inexpensive consumer cookware - but these are pans that will last a lifetime and become heirlooms in a family that values home cooking. You should be aware pans are much heavier than cheap pans, and that is a deal killer for some people. Nobody should pay a high price for pots and pans they can't use due to the weight. While it's appropriate to be proud of high quality cookware, it's impractical and just silly to buy something you can't use. These pans come appropriately packaged in an attractive, sturdy box with old fashioned tissue paper packing - but do be prepared when preparing for first use to curse those darned stickers. You'll see more than one complaint about the stickers, and you'll understand when you take them off. If that's the only bad thing one can say, it's just a joke, not a big deal.

One of best stainless steel sauciers I have
One of the best I had. Very easy to clean. The design is likely very durable. Heat control is also easy.
