A well thought out diffuser - that delivers!
I did quite a bit of online research to determine which diffusing system was best for my needs and discovered nebulizers are the way to go to capture the true therapeutic benefits of essential oils... so which nebulizer would deliver the best results? I discovered this little gem during my investigation and while I really liked the look of the traditional glass units, I was nervous after reading how thin the glass was and how easily breakable they tend to be. I was sold on the NOVA's idea of a cordless unit, the low noise decibel rating, easy cleaning and ease of adding or switching out oils. Was it the right choice? So far, YES!I've had the NOVA for a few days now and have been very impressed with its features. It's a small unit that fits the palm of my hand with an understated simplicity of design - I like a clean look. No lights, which is fine by me, as I think they're just a gimmick anyway. Out of the box, it took a few hours to charge, and I added 10 drops oil to the enclosed glass vial and simply screwed it in. Voila! Couldn't be easier. There's a small on/off switch in the back next to the charging port, 1, 2, 4 hour timed modes or continuous run, and three levels of diffused oil control. The 10 drops lasted longer than the expected 4 hours... I'll have to time it to see exactly how long 10 drops last, but I was impressed at the length of time. The output was sufficient to fill a small/medium spaced room, and the oil lingered nicely in the air without being overpowering - I think due to the intermittent timing which releases a controlled amount instead of constant "on", it gives your senses a little break rather than being blasted. The noise level is very quiet, in my opinion. When it's running on my bedside table with the tv on, I don't notice it. I've also introduced it to my therapeutic massage clients where it is placed a few feet away from the head of the table, and with soft music playing, it again is not very noticeable. It emits a soft vaporizing kind of sound, but as it's not constantly running, the sound comes and goes. It did not disturb any of my clients. In fact, they all commented on the scent in the air and appreciated the added therapeutic benefit that only a nebulizer can give as the oils are not diluted with water vapor. The cordless feature is an added plus as I have the option of placing it directly under the face cradle, or wherever else without having to worry about tripping over cords. It automatically shuts itself off when the oil runs out; no "beeps", which is important should it run out while I'm working on someone. Nothing worse than having your calm state of being interrupted with sudden unexpected noise.I've changed oils a few times and have not experienced any leaks or difficulty cleaning the vial or reattaching it.Would I purchase this again? You bet!The customer service via their Facebook messaging has been lightening fast with their replies and very helpful with all my questions. Two thumbs up to a company who cares about their product and users!I plan on obtaining a few more of these for my daughter's bedrooms, and throughout the house. It would make a great gift for a college students dorm room, anyone with a car commute, travelers hotel rooms, tents/campers, office... it's discrete, small, cordless, and holds a long charge. It's an overall well thought out, compact nebulizer - that delivers.UPDATE: 4/14/16Took my handy little NOVA with me on a three-hour car ride and it sits perfectly in my cup holder like it was made for it! When I arrived at the hotel for a massage seminar, I simply plugged it in once I got the room and let it run. When my friend and I came back to the room after dinner, we opened the door and she said, "Oh my gosh, it smells so good in here! I've never had a hotel room smell this good!" She didn't realize I had this running as it was so small and quiet, but we both enjoyed it's effectiveness for taking the "hotel smell" out of the air in short time. The little protective flexible rubber flap on the back that covers the on/off switch came off. I wasn't surprised as it was pretty flimsy to begin with at the attachment point, but I don't care as I didn't feel it was even necessary to have on the back of the unit.UPDATE - 9.27.16Still going strong and loving it!

OK but not that powerful
I'll start by saying that this is my first diffuser and I have limited experience with essential oils which you might want to take into consideration with this review. IMHO the product is ok - it is easy to operate and the prescribed functions work well. It doesn't seem that powerful though, which is why I've given it 3 stars. Even on the highest setting it's hard to notice on the opposite side of a 5 x 4m room - if subtle diffusion is what you're looking for fine. Nostril tingling diffusion this isn't.

Oil diffused smells very bad and distorted, noisy
I am a big essential oil enthusiast. I've tried different types of diffusers and concluded that Nebulizers are the best and purest way to diffuse essential oils. I currently primarily use Organic Aromas Essential Oil diffuser, which while being fragile, works very well, as long as it does last. The oils are diffused without any compromise to their fragrance or quality.I wanted an additional one for my bedroom, possibly a sturdier one in terms of longevity and though Verelily Nova may be a good choice as it does not need to be plugged in to operate. The first thing that irked me about NOVA is that I am stuck to using their bottles. On my Organic Aromas Diffuser, I drop in a few drops in their beautiful glass container and I am good! The worst part for the quality of fragrance. I would assume all Nebulizers operate similarly? Not sure what's with this one but the oils diffused smell completely different and smell very ..."plasticky" - not sure if its the plastic tube that goes into the essential oil bottle or some other part - but my place smelled terrible! I diffused some rubbing alcohol, as suggested in their user guide, and tried a different oil - same thing - the oil smelled almost caustic! And at the highest mode, the noise is very high. I am very disappointed! I should have invested in another Organic Aromas diffuser...

Nice design. Emits strong scents.
Love, love this diffuser! So compact. You can bring it with you in the car so your ride is nicer. It charges quickly and stays charged for days. It's quiet. It produces stronger scents than the water based diffusers. I usually leave it on the lower scent emission setting. It's so easy to use because no water is involved. Just attach the bottle of oil to the diffuser and you are set. A bottle lasts about 10 days with daily use of about 4 hours on low. It was worth the extra money.UPDATE: November 2017 Stopped working after 18 months. I cleaned it as directed. It still charges ok. The mode and timer buttons no longer work when pressed. The motor sounds like it is running but no scent at all is dispersed. Very disappointed that such an expensive purchase failed so quickly.

Effective, Quiet, and Works Well
I have recently gotten into essential oils and now use them regularly. In fact, I find new uses for them daily. So it is a small wonder I now own 3 diffusers, with this one being my fourth.Because I live in a very humid climate, there are certain times of year when I really don't want to introduce any more humidity into the house, as my cool mist diffusers all do, so I wanted a waterless one - especially for night time while I am sleeping. This one has been everything I hoped it would be, with one exception - it does occasionally leak. I have tried replacing the washers, pushing the washers up into the cap, etc. But it will still leak sometimes inside onto the bottom cap. However, with that exception, this diffuser does emit a lovely, non-watersoaked mist of pure essential oils. Blends I mix together smell fabulous. I have a fairly large master bedroom and it does a wonderful job filling the air.It is a made from a nice solid plastic; it is neat and compact, so it fits anywhere, and it is veritably quiet.I am considering getting another; just wish I could figure out why it leaks. Would definitely give it 5 stars if it didn't. But I would still recommend it.
