Works Great
Overall it works great. The box it came in had seen better days but everything was there. The bolts and screws were loose inside. Seems pretty sturdy, not exactly light. Set up was extremely easy. The stack pipes took a little work to but they do fit together nicely. One pipe was slightly bent at the top but bent it back with pliers, also the metal piece that the pipe sits on i had to bend a little too so it sat right, nothing major. Tried tinfoil on the bottom ash collector thinking it would help clean up, but hot embers made it's way down through the grate openings and cooking tinfoil doesn't have a great smell. Some of the ashes fell on the sides so i took the foil out. The paint around the pipe base part is the only place so far i've seen the paint peel, but i didn't buy it for looks.

This can be a good stove for you but not turn key. Simple changes most folks can do themselves.
I made a few simple changes. Some are temporary and some are a good final answer.I cut back the air on the front and controlled the air with the ash bin opening. Also experimented with air flow in the rear and about half of the holes worked best for me but my magnetic cards did not last long back there. I added some screws on the pipe to stove adapter. A simple change and not needed but added a heat spring on the latch on the fire box. I think you could get away with out it. 16" piece of wood stops the legs from folding. Just held in place with a screw. The stove burns clean on the smoke pipe but will smoke if you cut off too much air. I have not put in a damper yet. Paint burns off so run if a few times outside first and avoid that smoke in your lungs. Yes the magnetic strips I used came from rock auto. Cooked beans in a open pot with both round pieces in place and still had enough heat using cedar and fir wood. The gloves are for a very tiny hand.

Light enough to carry a short distance, but can be dangerous if set up improperly
This thing is fantastic for what I use it for. If you plan to buy it and hike several miles I would probably choose a different stove. I tend to camp in areas where I can set up my tent right next to my car, so it's perfect for that. I did buy a rain cap with spark arrestor for mine so I wouldn't have issues with water coming into the stove. After a few uses the finish has worn off and it has oddly started to rust. I assume this is due to me being in the PNW, and it was raining the entire week I used the stove. Shouldn't be a big issue, just wire brush the stove and get some stove paint.I plan to install it in my boat as a emergency backup for power outages, when the stove is in use I noticed no smoke build-up in my tent. I highly recommend installed a rain cap and a dampener to control the burn more. I noticed a bundle of firewood from the grocery store last a day, depending on how hard you run the stove. Kept my tent really warm, in fact a little TOO warm. The biggest flaw is the stability. My first setup I didn't set up the legs correctly, and it resulted in it being a bit wobbly. Not a huge problem, but make sure the legs are extended out fully when setting up. All the keeps the from collapsing is them being fully extended and some wing nuts. I would much rather see some sort of cross beam on the legs to keep the legs spread apart in case of accidentally knocking into the stove. Not hard to fab up one yourself if you needed to though.Overall, I would recommend this stove for a budget option, but the more expensive ones are likely to be better quality.

So Underwhelmed. 1st Order was a bust. So was the 2nd replacement order. BOTH WENT BACK!
I am no expert, but there was no original box. No instructions. The grate inside was covered in soot. The ash drawer pull ring had no way to affix it to the ash drawer (missing hardware). The front door to the fire box's latch was welded into place crooked, bent and so badly so that I know it wouldn't be rebent (or corrected) easily if my husband heated it up to repair it and the door wouldn't even open i it was jammed shut. I sent it back. The welding just looks rough and unprofessional. I know this isn't the BEST stove out there. But for $180, I expected more.Review Update: My second replacement stove has arrived. The assh drawer has hardware and hte front latch works. STILL 1 STAR. The back chimney portion that connect the chimney to the stove is too loose to BE SAFE. Also, using a flashlight, I checked all the stove seams. This thing is a MADEINCHINA piece of you-know-what. The flashlight shone through! Meaning - smoke will escape, which is a breathing and fire hazard. The second one is going BACK. Ugh.

I survived -3°F on a mountain top most recently
I have zero complaints really. The only things I can think of are the need to cut length from most bought firewood and the damper causes some smoke back up. It's fine leaving that open because the burn is still long with plenty of heat. And yes, you'll need to spend more money on a spark arrestor and damper, oh my. Plus, you also need a CO detector. So, get over it and just get what's needed. And YES, IT SMELLS from paint and requires 3 or 4 GOOD BURNS to rid the stove of the paint smell. Obviously the people complaining about this never read the reviews because it is mentioned numerous times. But then again there are questions about weight when it's clearly listed in the product description. Apparently I got a good one because everything went together as it should (even minus directions). Nothing leaks, falls off, warps or whatever folks have problems with. Then again, I have the ability to read and reason. I've had the first stove pipe glowing and used it from -3F to the low 40s with zero issues. Oh, and when you start the fire it will leak some around the lid, however, once it heats and expands it stops.Makes you wonder about misuse and improper assembly by the 25% of folks giving it 3 or fewer stars.

Good value nice warmth doesn't need much wood lol I'll
Seems like a nice little stove. Recommend a small fire to burn off/ condition stove. I had no issues with door or smoking from stove. Good draw fro chimney I am sitting outside 2/3 feet from stove and feel warmth I am pleased with purchase. Glass well protected good instructions

Cheap, unsubstantial, poorly made.
This stove is very poorly made. Flue attachment gaps away from stove; is held on only when flat plate is on stove and the whole unit, flue and pipes, falls off when plate removed to use grill. Arrived w damaged flue pipes, door not sealed, smoke from several orifices; no damper. Extremely small fire box and finish was lifting after first burn.

Great little wood stove!
Heats well and sturdy but the initial burn had a lot of smoke. We fired it until the 2 bottom chimney pipes were glowing red to get any excess oil and paint off and it worked like a charm. Was a bit top heavy, make sure you’re on something solid

Nice little stove
Only issue was the need to put glass rope around the door and lid to stop smoke from escaping into the cottage. I use this in a enclosed 12’x12’ cottage to do the initial warm up when it is cold inside as my propane RV furnace took too long to get up to temperature. I love this stove so far! I used 3” B wall pellet vent with this since it is indoors.

Rockin little stove
Pretty neat compact stove with a glass in the front door. Easy to set up, all parts fits nicely into the firebox when storing the unit. Puts out a ton of heat, the option to leave to top opened, with a grill out customize the size of the opening is also a cool idea. There is no damper or spark arrestor, so I installed a cast iron damper in one of the pipe sections and this worked out pretty good. I took a soup can and drilled a bunch of 1/2" holes in it to use as a smart arrestor and that as well worked pretty good. My only real complaints are the since you can remove the top, you do get a bit of smoke that will seap out also the door does not have a seal, so smoke will come out the door Fram as well. I do like that it has a glass piece in the door, as its rather enjoyable being able to see the flame with the door closed. I don't think that you would want to use this stove in an enclosed area such as hot tent or shed because of the smoke leaking from the mentioned areas. Perhaps a person could do some modifications to it to seal off those areas, then it would be an awesome little stove.

No seal on paper thin sheet metal door...
Over all, the stove is nice and compact. But I'm not impressed by the build quality. The stove does not come with a fire seal for the door and the door is flimsy 20ga. Steel... Not sure how it will last.Bang for buck. It will heat. But I'd be tempted to upgrade some components with essential parts. Like a door seal.
