JKL Outdoors Spyder Gravity Feeder Attachment

This product needs MANY IMPROVEMENTS before I can even begin to think about raising the rating. Great concept, POORLY made!First issue I had was after the first week of installing the system. I used the screws supplied with the system, all seemed well, was anxious to see how long it took them to get accustom to the feeder. Within 3 days they had figured it out (I noticed this from the trail cam pics I checked a week after installing).So I let it be for a week and wanted to check my trail cam and when I walked out to the feeder all I saw was the Spyder System laying on the ground!!!!! After reviewing the trail cam pics I realized the deer had figured out how the system works and would bump the spigots with their noses to feed more corn out. Simple by them bumping it with their noses they knocked the system from the bottom of the feeder and all the corn poured out.I thought, well, that’s easy enough to fix and purchased some bolts with flat washers and lock washers, putthe system back up, double checked everything to make sure not too much corn was feeding, alls good right? Nope!The screws used to adjust how much you’re feeding on the spigots strip out from the deer bumping them! Which in turns makes a ton of feed pour out. So I tightened them again to draw up and close the gap so less feed would pour out, less than 3 days later, it’s right back to where it was!!Now all the screw holes are stripped except the holes they graciously supplied with threadlets. It is no longer adjustable.To top it off, the tapered downspouts are just poly which have been knawed severely by squirrels making the gap even that much larger.I WILL make this a good system by adding metal threads for the adjustment screws, and by adding a metal cover over all three downspouts so the squirrels can not chew a hole in them!So is it a great concept? Hell Yeah! Just a poor execution in my opinion.I’m sure I’m not the only person with this issue, no way I can be! Spyder Sustems should make it right and make the necessary changes to make this $100 piece of plastic worth the money!!!!

product works, but squirrels have chewed all tree tips up to get to my corn. I am having to screw some home made stainless steel tips on over the chewed up part so they can't do any more damage. I will reset and then try this again.

So far I have had issues with it allowing the protein to get wet and mushy. Not sure if this is due to the rain or the deer licking it. Still trying to decide if this is going to work for us or not. I can see if it was corn it would have this issue though.

I finally installed this and it works very well. The deer figured it out right away and it was easy to install. My only concern is that the squirrels are trying to chew on the ends, will have to see how this holds up with use and time.

All good, except it needed a 5/16 but driver, instead of 3/8 or 7/16. Installation was perfect afterwards

Arrived quickly, seems well built, the down flo tubes seem a little small in diameter but I haven't put it in the field yet ,will update after i get some trail cam pics and see how well it works,I like the concept seems well thought out.

The Spyder deer feeder is a great accessory to attach to your deer feeder. Easy to install and ajust the spyder feeder and no more timing or batteries to replace on the distributor/dispenser systems.
