We dropped one filter and it broke.Soak well before using and if they ever dry out.

Filters are easy to install and clean and seem to remove contaminates as described. I would use a separate charcoal filter for removing chlorine taste if that is a problem. I find they filter 2 gallons of water overnight pretty easily. The only problem I experienced with these are the plastic threaded shaft at the base will break off if the nut is tightened too much. Just use a light hand tightening and they will last a long time.

I only need one filter after figuring out how to build my own system. I tried using plastic buckets but the plastic taste was to strong to stand. I ended up drilling a hole in an old ceramic slow cooker pot and screwing the filter into the pot. After filling the pot with water to the top I just balance the pot on top off a sun tea glass container. I put the hole contraption into the 2 1/2 gallon plastic bucket I bought originally just incase of spills. Everything is unbelievably sturdy. After the sun tea container is full I pour it out into another glass container and refill the sun tea container

I use this product for filtering water for a nasal rinse, although if there were an emergency, I could use it to purify water for drinking. There is no smell to the water after it goes through the filter. If the filter isn't filled first and the first several batches of water thrown out before the filtered water comes out (as per directions) it takes forever for it to start filtering. But if directions are followed, filtered water comes out quite quickly. It's more than paid for itself. I found some containers at a used store which I use with it and I've been using it for more than a year instead of buying filtered water by the gallon or boiling water. It's fantastic!

love this filter. SHTFandGO shipped very fast and product was of high quality and works very well. I recently bought 2 from korea and the stem broke before i got to use it. no response from company and not worth returning.

I ordered these filters in February 2021. I took them with me to N. Africa just as a back up and they came in handy right away.Our water is very bad due to old pipes. It’s actually reddish brown.I built a simple 2 container system and ran about 3 cycles through the filters. The water tasted worse in the begging but soon after it was very good. It was actually visibly clear on the first cycle.If you buy them, be sure to run a few gallons through them before actual use, otherwise the water will taste horrible. Maybe it something from their manufacture.
