To Children, A Classic On Par With Millenium Falcon
The Ghost was my kids' favorite Lego Star Wars build (and they have built most all of them that have come out in the last few years) with the exception of Slave I. To kids, Star Wars Rebels (and Clone Wars) is just as much Canon, just as much "Star Wars" as the movies, maybe even more so because they have had more episodes to get to know the characters. To my kids the Ghost--the ship of the Rebels--is in the same class as the Millenium Falcon.Thankfully this set is fun to build and fun to play with. It comes with Hera, Zeb, Kanan, and a Stormtrooper. You will also need to buy the additional part to the complete ship, The Phantom . Sadly, both kits have been discontinued by Lego and will be sure to become classic pieces worth quite a bit. It's a shame because that might mean that fewer kids will get to build and play with it. So if you can get your hands on a set at a reasonable price, I recommend you do it; it's a great build, fun to play with, and will likely become quite valuable.

The ghost rides again!
This kit should have just included The Phantom as well as they both go hand in hand. BUT they're sold separately. There is a combo kit, the price on Amazon is actually fairly high. But another reviewer said toys r us had it for $100 free shipping. While this was true, toys r us decided to get backorderd, but still took my money and then decided to not say anything to me about it.I talked to a rep and they told me what happened, and refunded my money, which was 6 days but that's ok.Amazon came thru though, both kits came in the last hour! This kit took me 4 hours to build up. my 5yr old started to get lost after a few pages. So I can understand where the age 9-14 came in.When built up, this kit is kinda fragile, but it hold together quite well! The Phantom does dock into the Ghost's bay, but I had to modify a mount on the Phantom to make it link better. But all in all it's a nice setup, a couple great hiding places for weapons and other doodads.. my 5yr old loves this unit! I'll be crying in a few weeks when he takes it apart and puts the pieces wherever they may go!

The Ghost with The Phantom is a must!
Fan of the Star Wars Rebels this Lego set is a must along with The Phantom. For $70 (at the item I got it) this is a great value.Great size. Not too many features as this is a basic Star Wars Lego ship and not a Ultimate Collectors Ship.Build was easy and detailed.Minifigures and great. Would have loved if the added Sabine but not a big deal (typical Lego need to buy other sets to complete the crew).Complete the ship with The Phantom Lego set.Attches to the Ghost like a glove (people complaining about not fitting you must be doing something wrong, all you do on the Phantom is lift the grey tab and the ship sits perfectly on the Ghost)Also complaint about loose parts or it falling off. Not an issue. You or your child could be using the ship a little too aggresive.Overall great value, great product, great minifigures and the Phantom addition is a must.

A wonderful kit for all ages!
This was a very enjoyable kit to make. Total time to build was about two hours. The price on Amazon was much less than retail (and Disney gift shop!). What was most enjoyable about this kit is the number of "hidden" compartments and movable/removable components. Now for the hard part. Is this kit, when completed, best to display, play with, or both? For the most part, Legos are meant to be played with and enjoyed. However, with this kit, it does not lend well to being played with. It is a little heavy, a lot of the moveable parts fall off when "in flight", and because of its weight, non-moveable parts come off with very little handling. As a display piece its great. This kit just begs to be played with though. Just keep this in mind when playing with it...it will start to come apart, and the more it is played with, the more parts you will loss. But in the end, toys are meant to be played with. Build well and have fun.

Great Sturdy Set
Yes the phantom can connect to it. You have to lift up the little flap on the back in order for it to slide in. It looks great once connected. I think while it is a simpler 2 set combo it goes together better than the rancor pit/Jabba palace set.Bought this set for my 4 year old. He had little difficulty building it. The set is well constructed and very sturdy for the most part. There are a few peices (the connection of the ship to engines for one) that will leave you scratching your head as to why they were not designed to be more structurally sound. The turret on top is a little disappointing in aesthetics but it makes it extremely easy to get the character in and out which is a nice trade off. In fact, all the cockpits are easy to access. It is a good size for small hands to carry and play with. All this makes the toy something kids can actually play with as opposed to the millennium falcon lego set for instance, which while very good looking, breaks constantly when a 4 year old tries to make it fly, position characters, etc.The ghost is a great set that we had a lot of fun building.

Does not include the Phantom
I've loved Legos and Star Wars since I was a child so this was the perfect gift for my 9yo son. We enjoy rebels on Disney and this was a high piece count set for the price. Too good to be true? Maybe. We were pretty upset to find out that the set did not include the Phantom. Now it's just a ship with a giant hole in the back. Oh well, we will just buy the additional set. But take that additional cost into consideration when deciding on which set to purchase. I very well might have chosen a different set had I known this previously. All the pictures cleverly angle the ship to make this less noticeable. Some have said its a complex build. It was a complex build but was still enjoyable figuring it out with my son. The set seems sturdy enough to really be played with.Still a 5 star set from Lego And Star Wars.
