South Shore Tall 4-Door Storage Cabinet with Adjustable Shelves, Royal Cherry

I ordered this Cabinet, and it was easy to assemble. All the boards were labeled; the screws and hinges were all in separate packages in a box and the instructions were perfect. It was so nice I ordered a second cabinet right after it was assembled. However, the second cabinet came in a damaged box with tape to hold it together. When I removed the contents, some boards had scratches, the top board had a corner that was chipped, and the screws were all loose inside the box. I was upset and thought that was strange. But still, I’m thinking of ordering another one because it is a beautiful piece of furniture.

Do not buy! So, I ordered this. I was pleasantly surprised when no pieces were cracked in half. However, as you can see, there was still damage. This is only two photos. I have more! The unit moves like it's going to tip over moves. Especially, the top half of the unit. It was not worth anywhere near the money I spent. I'm a petite female, and there is no way id be able to ship this back. The unit had pieces that did not fit like the metal long screw thing and pieces missing. Mind you I've built a lot of furniture. I'm honestly pretty sure this will be tossed. I don't think it will be any source of use. Such a waste of hard earned money.Update:I should have updated this sooner so everyone else knows but the company refused to refund me the money. Mind you, there was no way I could repackage it in its original box or take it to get picked up. I would of had to order several boxes for it and somehow get it to ups. They said ups would pickup but again I didn’t have materials to re-package. Don’t buy the company wouldn’t even give me some of my money back.

So I'm using this daily, I'm glad I bought it, however it is not a solidly constructed as I would have preferred. When I received it I had to reorder half a dozen panels as they were cracked and chipped. Those panels were sent quickly and without complaint by the company who makes the product. Even so I had to use a Furniture pen to mask a couple of Nicks and dings I hadn't seen earlier. I was put together it looks lovely in my office and it stores quite a lot! However, next time I will be looking for a different cabinet.

Love south shore products. This unit arrived with one broken panel, more likely than not a UPS result. I called the number and they had a replacement part to me in a week. This took me about 1 1/2 to put together by myself (needed one extra person to set unit upright and to attach a door) for some reason every south shore product I have put together has the same problem. ..the trim on top only has 2 pre-drilled instead of the 3 needed. .but I've learned to lightly screw the outer screws in and coat the middle screw with a black marker and push through the middle hole making a mark on the top of the unit, then I remove the outer two screws and drill a hole where I marked. Then I attach all the screws to the molding. This to me is a very small problem easily fixed. The unit is sturdy and looks nicer than the price would indicate. I will buy more south shore products in the future.

The cabinet came in a large well packed box. There were only some minor scratches to a couple of the pieces as they obviously rubbed together during shipping. I was somewhat shocked to see that the cabinet is pretty much just two cabinets stacked on top of each other. I can see this now when looking closely at the picture, but didn't notice before ordering. It doesn't effect the appearance much and the cabinet is probably stronger this wayThe assembly took me about an hour and a half. I took my time to ensure I put it together properly. I had to figure out which way to face the pieces when assembling due to the poor instructions. They fail to mention which direction to have each piece when assembling, i.e. the back side or laminated side.Besides the instructions I am very happy with the cabinet and would recommend!

Me and my wife bought this book shelf as a birthday gift for my sister in-law. Upon arrival, we take it out of the box and dispose of the box so we could keep the gift a surprise. Come to realize when we start putting it together, the “wood” panels start to crack and two pieces of it break off as we try to put it together. This caused frustration so we tried to call about a exchange but it wouldn’t allow for one unless we shipped it back in the box. Since that was not an option, I contacted the warranty I had purchased for the bookshelf, and they responded with it wasn’t covered and needed to talk to the seller of the book case directly. We tried to push on with the structure just dealing with the little gap that had been created because the pieces broke, only to almost complete the structure when on a whole different board, a big hole was created by the screw that was already sealed inside. Due to this last break we came to the conclusion we can no longer try and save it and we cannot get our money back because we got rid of the box. This is a big let down and we are really disappointed in this product. There was no stability and showed poor quality from the start. There are pieces that are screwed in properly and would not become flush with one another. There are visible gaps that if you tried to tighten to flatten out, it would only crack the boards even more. I’m also very upset that I paid over $30 extra for warranty that doesn’t even cover the only problems that could come of this book shelf. Will not be recommending or ordering again.

I love this cabinet. It is very big, and the colour is very nice. It is a very sturdy product, and looks very sophisticated. It was very easy to set up, and took a half hour for one person. There is a lot of storage space for anything you need to store. It can be used in an office, a bedroom or kitchen. I am using it as a kitchen pantry, and it works wonderful for that purpose. I purchased the South Shore microwave cabinet, too. It looks like it the storage cabinet and microwave are a set, as the cherrywood colours match very well. I went on the South Shore website and used their chat with a customer service rep, for additional information about the amount of weight the shelves can handle. They didn't have the information at the time, but they said they would find out and email me. An hour later i received an email from the company with the details on the shelves. They can handle 25 lbs. South Shore has excellent customer service, and a great product line. I will continue to buy furniture from them in the future.

I have no words to describe how awful and badly done is this furniture. I still can't believe that somebody would produce and offer in the market something as bad as it is.It's awful. Awful. It is brand new but it looks like I just grabbed it from my neighbour garbage.It's the $300 wasted that I will never forget.I just moved to a smaller house and needed urgently some extra storage and bought it for this reason. I have worked assembling furniture for a while, but even though I wasn't able to make the doors to close properly. I understand that the market has to offer more affordable options but this cabinet should never be sold to anyone.I don't even know if I'll be able to put it back in the box to return because it's already looking like falling apart...

Great storage for teenagers room

Please be careful as the shipping box is extremely heavy. You will very likely need 2 people to move or drag the box into your office/house. Total time spent to open package, read instructions and assemble the product by one person was just under 2 hours (100 - 120 minutes).Other things of note: The box was damaged upon arrival but thankfully the materials on the inside were fairly well protected and largely unaffected. There were some scuffs on the wood, but inside you are given a puttylike pencil/crayon to colour in any marked up areas. It does the trick.I wouldn't call this a "showy" piece of furniture, but it definitely is good for storage in an office or basement setting.
