St. TropezSelf Tan Bronzing Mousse, 1.69 Fl Oz

So, I don't review products and I've purchased a lot of items from Amazon, like many of you have. I'm taking the time to give St.Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse a review because I believe it deserves one.I have tried tons of tanning products. For over 30+ years, I've been trying to look tan. I've used Fake Bake for several years and love it. I just recently tried St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse and was seriously blown away by the results. Reviews say its a subtle tan and they are correct, if you apply it only one time. If you apply it a few times, it becomes darker. I have VERY light skin, like pale white. Everything I've tried made me orange...like pumpkin orange. The only product I've loved for years is Fake Bake. It has somewhat of an orange tone, but was the least orange of all of the products I tried until St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse. Wow, what a great product, for me. Everyone is different and has different results. I personally never thought I'd find a tanning product that would not look orange...until St. Tropez. It really is that great. From application to result, its wonderful. Application is easy and the smell is barely there with a subtle pleasant scent. I think every tanning product has some type of unpleasant scent but that just goes along with the tanning product process. Just use extra perfume or scented body spray. It does stain clothes a little but after my initial application, I wear dark clothes and then there is no issue.I am impressed and I'm not easily impressed. I'm very picky with all beauty products and have to try several to find the one that works best for me. That includes.....makeup, hair products, nail products, skin care and tanning products. I am relentless and my goal is to always find the best products I can. Hopefully, St. Tropez won't be discontinued like some of my favorite beauty products have been in the past. I love this tanning mousse and despite the high-end price, I feel it is well worth it because it is that good. I will continue to use St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse as my primary tanning product and my back up will be Fake Bake.Check out my photo. I applied St Topez to only the bottom half of my leg (two times) so the difference can clearly be seen.

Ok...I was really hoping to give this a 5 star review, especially after reading all the rave reviews before I purchased. I'm giving it 3 stars though because it does work, it just doesn't work the way I think all these reviews make it out to....So I bought this because its summer here now, and I've laid out in the sun a lot, and my upper body has gotten a pretty good tan; but my legs and lower body were still pretty white. So I have a completely uneven and definitely non full body tan. I wear shorts everyday now, so having my face and arms a deep brown, and my lower legs white as a ghosts legs just looks stupid to me. For some reason I find that tanning my legs is much more difficult than my upper body (Don't ask me because I have no idea why that is)...So I thought this would be the perfect solution to "even" my legs out a bit, so they at least weren't "sheet white" compared to the rest of me, and I also figured I'd do my whole lower body that never gets sun, and maybe even everything out all around. This seemed like it might be the answer to my dilemma, especially after reading all the reviews.So I applied it the first day I got it with high hopes, using the mitt I purchased as well. I applied it as instructed, and it covered evenly and dried quickly. I went to sleep with it on, thinking according to the reviews that I would wake up with a "film" on my legs that would wash off revealing a "golden glow" tan...No such luck.Nothing washed off in the morning in the shower, and at best I would say my legs were about 1/2 shade darker. The "tan" this product provided did look natural and had a nice brownish tint. The problem was it was a very very faint tint at best. So I checked to see if this could be applied daily to get a darker effect. Low and behold the questions and answers revealed that it could be. I thought that might be the answer to seeing real results; Repeated application.So the next day, I reapplied it again, and much more this time, giving my legs and lower body 2 coats effectively of the stuff. When I woke up today, again there was a little color there, but definitely nothing to write home about.With two applications of this stuff over two days I can say it does look natural, the product is as advertised, but if you have dark skin like me and are applying this to get a dark or deep tan? Prepare to either be disappointing, or to maybe use a few bottles of the stuff a month maybe to get your tan where you want it (if this will even produce that kind of result which I am thinking is doubtful).I'm hesitant to apply a third days application because on this second one, the tan is already starting to look a little fake, and a bit more like what it is...I'm not sure I want to see what three days of this stuff looks like built up on my legs and butt.So, this might be the product for you and a lot of people depending on your skin tone and pre existing tan level(s)..For me? It's mediocre at best and worked at about a 3 star level. Definitely not a scam of any kind or false advertising, but probably not the miracle product its been claimed to be on here that I've read from other customers.3 Stars.

Perfect travel size - the bottle does leak a bit so be careful

I am one of those women that slathered baby oil on myself and layed in the sun for hours as a teen then graduated to tanning beds. Now at almost 65 I have no desire to keep putting my old skin through that. Fortunately I found this stuff and there's no going back!There is a small learning curve in how to use it but seriously, this stuff is the best. I have tried so many fake tanners and the color was weak and the smell strong. I love that you almost immediately "have a tan" and it just gets better.I've seen a few complaints about the color being a bit on the green side but for me the color is perfect. Maybe if you are extremely fair it wouldn't look right? Idk but I sure recommend it.

This stuff is nearly idiot-proof and I can get pretty creative on how to make mistakes with self-tanner. Streak-free and great for a lighter, more natural looking tan.It also doesn’t smell like expired Doritos like other brands which is fantastic!

This is the best self tanning product I've ever used. I've struggled summer after summer with tanning lotions and have never been able to get a good result.The mousse formula makes it so easy and quick to apply. It dries super quickly. Not orange at all, just a nice natural tan color. You can apply another layer the next day and be a shade darker in just a few hours.The thing I like most about this product is that you can actually see the color as you're applying it. Every other tanning lotion I've tried goes on basically invisible and gradually darkens over the course of the day/night so it makes it hard to see if I missed a patch.Definitely worth the price. I will not be buying any other tanning product again.

I’ve been using St Tropez for a long time. I ordered this small size for travel.This self tanner is a bit more pricey but the colour is so natural not orange.The foam is light and easy to apply.Wash your hands right away or you will have brown palms!

Love this self tanner! I am quite pale and don't go in the sun to tan anymore so this is perfect for a healthy glow. I use it all over my body and face and it works great. Natural and even looking tan. I use the self tanning mitt to make it look even all over and I love it
