Not the right color
Arrival:The Beeswax Circle came in a bubbled Amazon Package. The product was not damaged in anyway.Product:The first thing upon opening the product was that it was not the same color as advertised in the photo. I was expecting a white or clear color and instead was this yellow. Taking it out of the packaging the plastic circle holds well in the hand and when following the instructions on the back to wax the string. I found that it is very simple and easy. I also noticed that if you waxed the strings more than twice it will leave a white residue on the string. For my work I didn’t have any issues with using this item but for others they probably wouldn’t want this on their work. I have read others reviews about it being dried out or crumbling to pieces. I only use my wax to help me string my thread onto the needle for others that might need to do more, not sure if this would be the best to use.Overall Review:I believe this product is ok to use for the work I’m doing however others might not like the idea of wax changing the color of their string or the residue left behind. I am undecided if I would buy again. If I did I would like to have the actual color shown in the photograph.

Different but good
The packaging it comes in for use makes it super easy to get the end of my thread. However I tend to be more of a silicone kind of girl and I figured this might be an easy alternative at a better price. The price is fair but I would still say the silicone has less product remain on the thread and tends to be easier to use. Would I buy this again yes is it useful and does the job it says it’s going to do yes I would not cover all my floss but works great for the ends. Any discoloring you might see will come off with warm water at this is a wax is will always act differently.

Not substantial enough for the sewing work I do.
I got to use it a few times. My dog says it tasted good. I was NOT unhappy that he ate it. The case it came in was awkward for me to use, tended to come apart, and I wasn't happy with the coverage. I never felt it was quite waxed well enough, and I had to run the linen thread over and over.. I had to keep shaking the wax around into another position for the next run-through. I sew 18th Century clothing, and it doesn't do the job, especially when I wax every single thread I sew. Not worth the price the way I use it. I've ordered another shape (the 5-pack shaped like upside-down cupcake) to replace the one(upside down cupcake) that I inherited and have almost killed off with repeated heavy use.

Changes the thread color!!!
While it does help keep the thread from tangling and makes the ends easier to thread, it changes the color of my thread and leaves an ugly white wax color on all of my colors, save white. I much prefer Thread Magic!!!

Little plastic canisters a good idea
Like the holder. I am always use them without the holder and it's just about as easy the only thing I find wrong is that the beeswax if it is beeswax it's soft softer than it should be the one I have now is really really hard this is not as hard this is a softer wax and I find it comes off on the needle and it comes off when you pull it through things so the little canisters good but I don't like the wax is too soft

Love this product!
Love this product! Great packaging that makes it very convenient to run my thread through without a mess. Product works very well to prevent thread from tangling. Fantastic for beading projects.

Good Stuff!
I still had the wax that I used in Home Ec in high school (yes, it was a loooong time ago - close to 50 years), and it had gotten quite dry. (Go figure!) Apparently, people aren't doing as much hand sewing now; but I was able to find this on Amazon (I do love the Prime shipping!) and had it in my hands - and on my thread - in two days. It's amazing how much difference fresh thread wax can make!

Wonderful
I do hand embroidery as my main income. This wax wheel is really great. It's easy to use, convenient and helps my thread pull through slowly.

A must have
This is great stuff. Easy to coat thread if you don’t run it through the holder too hard. Pull it through lightly and you get perfectly waxed thread. The thread is easy to work with and I get no knots or tangles. You can’t see it on the thread and it’s going to last a long time too. A must have in your sewing box it’s recommended.

not good, crumbles into small pieces
I used conditioners in past and one piece of same size would normally last for few months. This time I decided to try this one, the little container looked really appealing. But after one day of using it (ONLY ONE DAY) this beewax started to broke into small tiny pieces, creating mess on my work piece.

Suitable for needlework.
I bought this item as I am working with fine gold thread on a cross stitch. The wax does help to make the thread easier to use but I was disappointed that the colour of the wax is not as shown on the selling page. It is a deep golden colour and not the white displayed. I would have preferred the lighter colour.

I've been cross stitching for 55 years, and boy am I glad that I discovered this
Why haven't I heard of this before? I've been cross stitching for 55 years, and boy am I glad that I discovered this. My Mum who is 82 years young, has started to use it too!

Every sewing box needs this
I enjoy EPP (English Paper piecing) patchwork and find that running the thread through this beeswax makes the thread glide through the layers much better and it doesn't knot and tangle as often. It's also good for sewing on buttons, strengthening the thread and helping the buttons to stay in place longer.
