OXO Good Grips Glass Candy and Deep Fry Thermometer, Silver, 1 EA

OXO, great brand. Waited patiently for this to arrive, my plan to use for candy making. Followed the instructions of the recipe, waiting for the candy temperature to reach 305, the reading got stuck at 260, nearly burned the batch of candy. Thankfully I was not using this to heat oil, not certain what would have happened. Extremely disappointed with this product, will not use again.

Ce que j'aime le plus c'est que la pince qui s'attache au bord du chaudron est ajustable. Donc que ce soit pour le chaudron pas très profond ou très profond, cette pince s'ajuste et tient très bien. Je l'adore et est si facile à lire. Je le recommande.

Bought this product 3 months ago. Hardly used, attempted to deep fry, glass tube at the bottom exploded in the oil. Leaving small pieces of glass, forcing me to throw out the oil and thermometer. Sent a complaint to the company never heard back from them. Way to stand behind your product.

No matter how gentle you are, the clip on the back will gradually bend out. Makes it hard to use or keep in place.After 1 year of occasional use, it is now off by 6 degrees C. Wasted so much ingredients with this thing. Do not recommend.

I have been wanting to get one of these for quite some time but just never did. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get one when I was planning some Christmas baking and I am so glad I did! It's very sturdy and accurate and was extremely helpful in getting my sugar up to the perfect temperature. Would definitely recommend.
