Started remodeling several rooms in my house, including installing boards in my garage and this panel holder really did come in handy. The grip on it is way better than me wearing gloves that were supposed to be able to grip things. Not to mention, made it easy for me to carry a couple of plyboards at the same time rather than individually. When it comes to gripping onto dry wall, same thing, I not only gripped them a lot better than me holding them but it didn't damage the boards. The handle on this even has a non-slip grip on it. I ended up buying another one so when I had someone helping me, we didn't have to take turns with the single panel holder. What I was really impressed about was I thought for sure the boards or the drywall were going to slip out, but they really don't. Not to mention, you really only need the one, as long as you are holding the boards in the middle. Once you have the board secured with this holder, that thing is not going anywhere unless you open it up. Great tool that is not only useful but cuts out fighting with holding boards and doesn't cause me to really hurt myself.

I have been using this to lift thick sheets of plasterboard around the house and I must say that it is an absolutely essential tool to have for the DIYer. It allows me to lift sheet material with one hand, which means that I have so much more vision and control whilst moving it around the house. The gripper is strong and has not let me down - the more weight you put on it the stronger it holds.I have had a couple of the screws come a little bit loose, so keep an eye out for this, but otherwise I would say that this has been the most useful tool I have bought for years.

Does it allow you to carry plywood and other sheet materials - YES. But a word or two of caution....Firstly, you need to manually close the jaws as the design is all wrong. Secondly the sheets slip slightly when lifting, but having moved 5 sheets they hold.However, if you are lifting sheets 18mm and thicker, this is a lot with a single grip. It's not the devices fault, but hefting a single sheet with one arm raised at shoulder heights (I'm 6ft and still need to), it's a herculean task. Where it is good is to buy 2 and carry sheets between 2 people using the device. Saves a lot of splinters.Overall it's just OK and I probably wouldnt buy it again, but can imagine it's fine for some.

Not fit for purpose, don’t waste your money. Had a plastic version which lasted 8-10 months of very heavy use before it gave up. Thought I’d go for the metal version for a bit more strength. After a week of use I’ve had to straighten the handle after every use and then this morning it’s basically disintegrated. Will be sticking to the plastic version.

Functions very well,.need to shift 8X4 18mm sheets of shuttering board regularly, this takes a lot of the strain and swearing out of the task
