I think the difference is probably that the hair dressing kind is thinner and more of a topper than a standalone pomade, which could be said about the R.C. Pomade because it's pretty thin itself honestly. The hair dressing kind smells awful, like dirty, rotten socks, no joke. You can find it easily in any Walmart if it's not sold out somehow.
