I'm using this product with a macbook air 10.11 El Capitan to connect to the internet. When it works, it works well. After the computer goes to sleep, the connection is dropped. I have to unplug and plug in the usb again to restart the connection. This is really annoying.The website appears to only be in Chinese right now so I can't get any firmware, if it exists for the mac.

I live in a remote military area. I enjoy it most of the time, since I like the peace and quiet that nature provides. It is also very accessible to a lot of the important stores, such as a local pet supply and lots of grocery stores. I'm really thankful. Unfortunately, one of the most important things are very lacking here- such as great Internet connection. We unfortunately only have the dreaded Time Warner Cable as our internet service provider. The internet connection is always bad, and leaves a lot to be desired. I work remotely as a programmer- and I used to always be stressed because the connection was so slow- despite owning a higher end modem.When I bought this USB Port, I was really crossing my fingers and hoping that it would work well. It does. All the ports work perfectly as well. I use a wireless mouse, charge my cellphone and my laptop booster with fan on this bad boy. i have dell 7140 tablet. my tablet not enough usb port.so i bought it. good working , simple design. i like it

The spacing on the hub is pretty wide, so if you have some unique geek sticks, there should be plenty of room to slot them all into the unit. The case is an aluminum wrap with plastic caps and finished in silver and white. The cord is fixed, which I'm not a fan of and I'd also like to see it a bit longer since I have it plugged in the back of my tower. If you are mobile, then the cord is plenty long.If you don't have a USB 3.0 port on your device, then I suggest not purchasing this. Although it will work, you won't experience the high transfer rates which 3.0 provides. I'd just wait until your next upgrade then circle back as these are becoming more inexpensive as months go by.Also, if you do have 3.0 ports on your build, you may have them grouped. So, plugging in devices on this hub will toss out USB Power Errors. I'm going to dig out my motherboard manual because I was running into issues. I'm very happy with this 3x USB 3.0 and Ethernet hub from HONGSEOK. It works well, feels sturdy, and doesn't look ugly like many other computer accessories in this price range tend to. The USB functionality worked out of the box on my windows 10 without any drivers or software necessary. Exactly what I was looking for.. I needed a Ethernet port for my Dell Laptop which has only 2 USB ports.. this gives me a Ethernet plus extra USB 3.0 ports for my thumb drivesThis device is fast portable USB 3.0 HUB with Ethernet capabilities that would allow me to get more out of the single USB 3.0 port.. I tested it with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 drives and they worked just fine. I also did some speed test for the Ethernet port and it gave me the same speeds as my desktop. Overall this is a very decent product .. i would recommend this to any one looking for extra USB and Ethernet ports.Finally thanks to the seller for giving me a discount on this.
