OrbitSunmate Plastic Hose Y Faucet with Shut-Off

Been a great splitter for a couple months. Cheap enough to replace if it ever starts leaking.I use this to split off an automated water timer for my yard edge sprinklers, and to have a water hose with spray attachment as needed. So I always have the spigot in the "on" position for the water timer, and use the on/off lever on the splitter for the hose since my attachment leaks.Far cheaper to have a few hoses, target sprinklers, and timers to water my smaller yards, and replace yearly if needed, than to run a professional sprinkler system! Probably averages $50 or less per year for me on this route, versus the $1000s to install a system, not including the headaches and costs for maintenance of that.

I don’t know if I got a faulty one or what but the shut off does not shut anything off. I contacted seller several times for a return label. They said they’d send one but I’ve never received one. It’s only $6 and I guess I should just write it off as a loss but it really upsets me that I was sent an item which doesn’t work as described and the seller doesn’t follow through.

Product is decent for what it is. Amazons price is over 7 times what I found it at a local store.I’m finding this more and more with Amazon pricing. I think I’m about done with the Games Amazon Plays.

These do not have a "loose" coupler on the female hose port so need to be screwed onto the source hose or faucet before the two downstream hoses are attached. This is a minor inconvenience and I suppose provides a more secure (leak-free) connection at the source hose of faucet. So far no problems with the valves.

I always have trouble screwing the hose into the outside spigots, so I ordered this little beauty to take care of the job for me. Yep, it screwed right in. The hose screwed right into it, and watering perfection followed immediately. Peace and harmony fell over the earth. I highly recommend it.

when you divide water flow, obviously each branch will get less flow. however, this part goes much further, because it has very narrow passages. no big deal for some folk, but i wanted to run 2 sprinklers. nope, it actually reduced flow to one of them, and the other gets almost no water. so whats the point? i bought a simple brass y with no valves, so all is well.

I was concerned that because they were plastic and were low priced that they would break easily. So far, no problems. I'm sure you could easily over-torque them, but making sure they have washers and just making them snug, prevents leakage.

Every single one we have used has leaked. Some started out leaking and some started after a week. Would up replacing several with metal pieces. However it will work in a pinch. Just not in areas where drips were a problem.
