Q: Will 7.5-8.5 be to big for size 7 or should I size down?

I'm a size 7, and I wouldn't recommend sizing down. However, I have to admit that when I really get flutter-kicking, sometimes the shoes start slipping off my heels. The sole of the shoes is the right fit. I guess I wish the elastic around the ankle was a bit snugger, or that the wearer could tighten it somehow.

Q: None of the people in the photos are wearing the shoes.. Yoga, walking on the beach or kite surfing are all barefoot, what are these good for then?

They are good for pool ,even beach,they have a thin sole on bottom,definitely recommend

Q: How does the bottom work on rocks?

These are not water sneakers and have very thin bottom protection. Will not work on rocks, but are great for pool exercise and dry very quickly.
