This isn't the fanciest gun safe on the market, but it is certainly well made. I was very impressed with the quality of the combo lock as well as the welding points which all look very professional. The handle is secure and smooth without any wobble at this point. The interior is large enough for plenty of guns (although it won't be 22 if you have scopes and other accessories of course). The safe also comes with the velcro pistol holders and bags like the other gun safes (not pictured), and although I thought the velcro wouldn't be able to hold up heavier handguns, it quickly proved me wrong. I put a Smith & Wesson 586 in one and it isn't close to falling off. My guess is that they could hold close to twenty pounds apiece. The door is solid, weighing over 100 lbs. This also comes with a reusable dehumidifier and of course the outlet is a nice addition. I plan to install a light and a door switch to utilize this feature at some point. Finally, if you haven't already noticed, Keith, the customer service rep is incredibly active and helpful. I sent him 5 or 6 emails throughout the process and he always responded the same day.I did succeed (with the help of three family members) to move this up a full flight of stairs with the proper equipment: a heavy duty dolly and quality ratchet straps. If you are planning on doing this, I would recommend removing the door first as it is close to a quarter of the weight of the safe.

This safe is very nice. I really like the combination lock.However I was doing research and seen that it came from a safe company in S.C.So I ordered it thinking it was American made. When it was delivered, right on the box it say's made in China.My final thought on it is that is was a great buy, with little hassle because they delivered it to my front door!But it is not American made!

not as heavy duty as expected. Had trouble with closing door. little disappointed.

Bought this directly from Steelwater but writing Amazon review so it's public:The main reason I'm writing this is because many reviews talk about how good the customer service is, and I've found it to be non-existentI've contacted Steelwater customer service 3 times via their website, with not a single response1) contacted to request update on shipping because it was taking longer than original "quoted" - no response2) contacted once safe was received and installed because the light doesn't work - no response3) contacted again about light issue and documenting other small issues with opportunity to redeem themselves, otherwise I was going to write this review - now here I amMain gripe is that the light fixtures don't work when you open the door. I've checked voltage and continuity on all the plugs and everything seems fine. I cannot figure out why the lights won't come up unless the sensor is badBut since Steelwater won't return my inquiries, other issues:- There's a cosmetic blemish on the door around the white paint border. I suppose it could have been from shipping but I thoroughly checked the box for shipping damage and there was none before unboxing- when unbolting the safe from it's steel pallet that it comes on, I noticed a crack about 3" long on the bottom corner of the safe. I'm not sure if this corner is welded or if they use a sheet metal brake to bed it. If welded, they missed part of the seam, painted over it and sent it on it's way. If they use a brake, the metal cracked, they painted it, and sent it on it's way- Several of the shelves have rust stains on them as if mild steel was set on the felt for a while and drew moisture- There was chalk dust everywhere upon receiving. I believe this is the fireproofing sheets internal to the steel enclosure. I'm not sure if the dust is from them machining holes for the power cord, etc, or if the safe was roughly handled during transit and the sheet-rock style insulation started to bust up inside and is now coming out the orifices- The dry pack silica box that comes with the safe always shows an olive green color on the indicator which means their is a start of moisture buildup. I live in the desert and am not sure why this will not go awayOverall...mostly minor gripes with the exception of the light which is a fairly significant sellable point of the safe and the fact Steelwater doesn't seem to check their "contact us" emails

came as expected. dont buy it if you live up a dirt driveway and have no way to get it from the street to your house. my guy helped me push it into garage. i have concrete driveway 35' from the street

The Steelwater customer service professionals have been a dream to work with. The "last mile" of delivery was not easy in my case, and they were simply wonderful at suggesting options to make it happen. First-class all the way.
