Great book to help teach feelings to children over 3
I bought this book as my 21 month old loves books and I wanted to teach her how to express her emotions rather than just crying. The book is a bit advanced in terms of the examples they offer to share an emotion but the faces are clear and have helped her to tell me when she's sad, angry or happy. The book will certainly be ideal for her in a year and so worth buying as it will last.

Good all round book to eplain feelings
My toddler enjoys looking at the different faces and emotions, she's starting to recognise them. Nice little pull out at the back too!!

Great quality, includes jealous though
The quality of this book is really good, the pages are sturdy and the illustrations are lovely and bright, and engaging. My 3 year old has really taken to it and loves to ask questions about all of the individual pictures inside, it can be an exhausting read, but enjoyable for her!It has been good for talking about different emotions: happy, sad, angry, scared are all good talking points. I'm not as much a fan of the inclusion of brave and jealous however. I hadn't realised it but I have never used the word jealous with my 3 year old, it's not a word she knows or understands because I think it's just so negative. For example, one of the pictures on the jealous page shows a newborn baby coming home from the hospital and the child of the family feeling 'jealous'. Although I have seen my daughter be jealous of her baby sister at times I would never call her jealous, there is nothing constructive you can take from it, especially for a toddler. Far better to use words such as sad, worried etc to get to the bottom of the problem instead of just telling the child they are feeling jealous. My daughter and I skim past this page so it's not a huge deal but I would rather it wasnt included.

Great emotional examples for kids
Our toddler loved this book and learning about different emotions. It’s handy to have a mirror close by too, so they can practice their facial expressions with each emotion; sad, happy, angry, jealous etc. It’s a good toddler sized, thick card book. Key words and short sentences, with bright clear characters. It has good examples of each emotion and how someone might use the them.At the back there is a pop-up poster with folds out and summarises all the faces.Great for toddlers to learn and understand their own as well as others emotions. Our toddler loved this book.
