A must-have, unique reverb with distorted reflections
This is a must-have reverb. You could even use it as a really unique overdrive if you were so inclined. This is not a spring reverb. It’s like any sound you put through it echoes sharply through halls of concrete and glass. Applying the preamp drive to the signal leaves your original signal untouched and only the reverb is overdriven. It’s a sound I’ve never heard in a pedal and it is my absolute favorite reverb pedal of all time. I have a lot of delays and reverbs. A real lot. This is a reverb you have to get. Nothing else sounds like this, not even a combination of other pedals.I wasn’t a big fan of the icons in place of labels for the knobs but after using the pedal for just a minute it was actually really easy and intuitive to figure out what each knob does. In fact I kind of prefer images in place of text for this pedal. It sort of helps you think in terms of sight and sound rather than dialing in sounds based on what the labels on other reverbs would do like a formula. So instead of thinking “I want a long decay with a large room mixed at 50%” you think more in terms of “that sounds like a soft reflection, let’s turn this knob and make it sharper”.Do not pass this by. There is no comparison out there. If you want a really distinct reverb sound with fine control over the size and edge of the reflections this one does it. If you ever wanted the reflections to bounce back distorted while you play clean, this is the only reverb that’ll do that.

A completely new world of spring reverb pedal sounds.
I am a musician for more than four decades and tons of reverb pedals went through my hands. OK, let me start off with that the Meteore delivers a completely new dimension of spring reverb sound possibilities. I actually started to play melodica instruments through a mic'd acoustic amp setup which means things can get pretty rough when it comes to feedbacks. Further I am "addicted" to analog echo/delay trails and to classy reverb sounds in general.Dialing in my personal (very) subtle settings on each of the four knobs of the Meteore took some time and the result is truly amazing. When I keep the right footswitch pressed the sustain takes off into infinite sonic dimensions without blowing my amp's speaker system, by keeping any feedback close to ZERO. Bravo! Although I have to keep the Attack function to a minimum (this is the only critical function when it comes to my melodica playing and to my best guess it is uncritical for any guitar playing), the other three knobs stay on a 12'o clock position. Adding a short delay and multihead echo makes my music performance REALLY shine. The difference that the Meteore makes compared to my other reverb pedals is that it is a sole SPRING reverb with a LOT of creative possibilities. So there are actually no fixed parameters which limit its spring reverb options to the sound of just a spring reverb. Indeed, once dialed in to the desired sound of your specific instrument, you may experience that exactly this Meteore spring reverb sound is the only reverb sound you always lingered for. A true enhancement to my music equipment, great job done!

positive feedback is not a good way to kick a pedal habit
I purchased this whimsical pedal on my guitar sound-quest (TM)! Highly recommend the process and the pedal both. Placed the Meteore in series with a Joyo Spaceverb (I also love the Spaceverb) so I can choose one or t'other or glom them together. I do not see the Meteore as vanilla reverb so it is good to have these options. I see the Meteore as more about tone expansion. Bottom line: I'd buy it again in a second; and I will follow with a few technical notes below. The Meteore shows up with great fit-finish. To my thinking it is a combination of an Ambient tone swell and a single Bounce (fixed delay). So the four dials control the degree of both the Ambient and the Bounce. They are semi-intuitive but figuring them out is part of the fun.The tone controls -- if you crank them -- get into the danger zone of the Havoc switch; so I really appreciate that Caroline gives you that region with no guard rail. The Havoc switch is super fun. Again no guard rail; it gets very hot. I appreciate that the Havoc has a pretty gradual attack envelope; so you can bail out of it intentionally. The decay envelope feels faster which to be honest would be nice to control. Maybe that is a future hack... for now you can finesse it by practicing tap/release on the footswitch.

I really love this pedal - it gives a ton of character and ambiance to your signal
I really love this pedal - it gives a ton of character and ambiance to your signal. It can definitely do the more intense end of the spectrum as well, past the point of self-oscillation. That, along with the havoc button, can create some really fun feedback sounds. My only cons would be that there is a bit of a high noise floor when activated. It isn't too bad, but loud enough that you will likely notice some hiss/white noise depending on your setup. Note that it isn't advertised as a "hi-fi" reverb pedal, so I am totally OK with this. Also, it isn't awesome at the very subtle reverb effects. If I want something that is less in-your-face, even with the other settings all the way down, I still have to pull the mix back quite a bit. Again, not why I bought this, so also something that I am OK with.

Absolutely A Gamechanger!
I've owned many delay and reverb pedals over the years. I don't know how else to describe how simple and completely different this one is. It can be light and subtle in a beautiful way, It an be dark and lo-fi in others, and it can be dirty, analog chaos. To top it off, the "Havoc" foot switch is absolutely pure madness, allowing the reverb to feedback into itself in an almost unpredictable maelstrom of lovely feedback, harmonics and overtones. This is the pedal that will give you beautiful weirdness you want.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
