Prottoni 44" Premium Garment Bag - Built-in Hook - Shoulder Strap - Suit Bag with YKK Elements

This garment bag is exactly how it was described. It arrived on time, was adequately packaged, and seems very well constructed. I haven’t had time to field-test it yet, but hubby will be taking it on a 4-day conference in a few weeks (traveling from Washington State to Texas), so I plan to update this review once he’s back home and let you know how the bag held up and what his take is on the bag.I have included pictures below that show the bag full-length (image #1), folded for carrying either by hand or over the shoulder (see image #2), and a close-up of the large clip that connects the strap to the bag, and reinforcement features (on the strap itself, as well as the bag’s D-ring that the strap attaches to, adding strength and durability) – see image #3. There are carrying handles attached to the bag. The detachable, adjustable nylon shoulder strap that comes with the bag is nice and wide, and has a soft rubber shoulder pad/grip.There are 3 zippered compartments on one side of the bag (1 of the 2 larger compartments is gusseted; the 3rd compartment is smaller than the other 2, but still a good size), and there is a 4th large zippered compartment on the other side. Inside is the full-length zippered compartment for hanging the clothes. There are 2 D-rings large enough to accommodate several coat hangers each, as well as a very large 3 1/2-inch S-hook on a sturdy 4 1/2-inch long nylon strap for hanging the garment bag. There is also a cinch strap located inside the inner zippered compartment, to keep clothing from shifting once they are hung in the bag.All in all, I feel that the $46.95 I paid for this bag was a good price. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another just like this, if we needed a second garment bag.JUNE 15, 2016 UPDATE: hubby has returned from his 4-day out of state conference (yeah!). and I'm back to give the promised update.Packing the garment bag for his trip the night before he left was easy. We loved that one of the outside pockets is gusseted and could hold all his unmentionables (socks and such). We chose four outfits, and then hung a pair dress pants, a tie, and a dress shirt on a slip-proof hanger - for a total of 4 hangers of coordinated outfits. After each hanger of clothes were hung on a D-ring, it was easy to smooth out the clothing on the hanger, and then fold over the shirt arms to the center of the shirt before adding a new hanger of clothes and repeating the process. We put two hangers of outfits on each D-ring; there was plenty of room left for additional hangers of clothing if we had needed them. (TIP: these hangers  Ultra Thin Velvet No Slip Clothes Hangers Beige - Set of 50 for Shirts, Sweaters and Pants with Bonus Accessory Bar and Pink Velvet Hanger - 18 Inch  are fabulous, especially for travel, and worked great in this garment bag.) All the clothing hubby needed for his 5 day trip fit either inside the garment bag, or in one of the multiple zippered pockets on the outside of the bag. Carrying the bag was comfortable, and he was very, very pleased with how the garment bag performed during his trip.The only negative was that because the garment bag advertisement stated "Designed specifically to fit in the overhead bins of most planes," I freshly pressed my hubby's clothes before packing them, in the hopes they would remain wearable without requiring a touch up after arriving at his hotel. HOWEVER, the airline refused to let him bring the garment bag onboard the plane so that he could stow it in the overhead bin (in a way to avoid wrinkling the clothes). Instead, the bag was tossed into the plane's luggage compartment along with suitcases and packages, etc., and all his neatly hung dress clothes did require a touch-up, despite the care I took in packing them.

Just received bag and put marching band uniform inside but hooks to hold garments appear to be flimsy and awkward to hold securely. The way they are designed looks like the hangers can easily slip out. Will see in the next few days when it makes a few trips back and forth from school to band competitions. Material of bag is nice and heavy, feels well constructed which is what I was shopping for. I hope I'm proved wrong and the hangers stay secure in bag because for the price I really don't want to waste my money and the rest of the bag seems well made.*****************UPDATE******************I have received a photo from the company explaining how to hang the hangers on the round hooks inside bag. Thank you, but even with making sure the hangers were place the way you suggested, the suit was off the hooks and at the bottom of the bag. Tried again on second trip, same thing happened. Would like to see if there is a solution before sending bag back because otherwise, it is a nice bag.

Hello. I am the only one writing a review that did not receive a discounted product for a "fair and honest" review. Yes it is well made but my problem is with the hook....it is too small to actually hook onto anything. I just go not get this design. I will start to use this bag but so far, I am somewhat dissapointed, and I just noticed that EVERYONE that wrote who a review before me got a discount! I question the integrity of this practice and I question the honesty of the the reviews; and no, I do not want a discount, just a good product.

My husband loved this bag I got for our recent trip where he wanted to keep his suit in good shape. Somehow through the years we had gotten rid of the garment bags and didn't realize they were so hard to find in stores now so I was glad to see this online, and was very pleased with the price for the quality. No issues with bag in overhead storage of plane. Also, he is tall (6'4") and remarked that his suit fit well in bag for the length. I probably should order another one for my son.

This is a great bag. The only downside is that it isn't quite large enough for my husband. He is using it for his business trips and he still has to take a small bag to take his shoes.

Recap on the missing metal ring. It was intentionally left off and improved with canvas loops to hold more hangers more securely. Turns out Amazon had not put the new info up on the product yet.The company's customer service did a great job.

Used this for a suit and dress for a wedding we were flying across the country for. We ended up bringing it along as a carry-on. We had no issues with the size going through security or bringing it on the plane. The straps and material are really sturdy. We overstuffed it (1 full men's suit, 1 cocktail dress, 1 pair of men's dress pants, 2 pairs of dress shoes, and 1 button-up men's shirt) and it did great! Would definitely recommend.

I ordered this garment bag for an upcoming trip and am thrilled with the product. It is super light weight and easy on the shoulders which is awesome when you're running around chasing your {insert transport vehicle here}. It's also refreshing that the bag is exactly as puctured/described. I'm also impressed at the surprising amount of storage compartments strategically placed throughout the garment bag. This bag is premium quality, durable and functional, I highly recommend!
