Highly recommend this dragon stuffy. It has been one of our son's favorite toys and best friends for the last 7 years, affectionately named "Sparklebrow". I'm back to buy another just in case this ever gives out, because it is starting to look a little worn. (The fuzz has worn out in a few places and we've had to resew a few small seam bursts. But that's after daily cuddles, rough battles, and several washes.) The roar sound did give out soon, but that didn't detract from it's awesome color, comforting softness, durability, and perfect size to carry everywhere as both a toddler and rambunctious child. When so many other toys were easily forgotten, this remains one of our best purchases so far.

My 3 year old granddaughter's favorite story book is a book called "That's Not My Dragon". She want it read to her and reads it to herself. The book goes one bu one through different dragons with different physical characteristics that can be sign and felt.The last dragon in the book being identified with a "That's my dragon!". I decided to get this dragon for her as a surprise on her next visit. She saw it ran to it and exclaimed "That's my dragon!". She is in love with it!! Won't let it out of her sight and loves that it roars! Now the new ending of the book is that her new dragon is her's not the one in the book. She has always liked to roar like a lion and now she roars with her dragon.Physical description: It's body is mainly a "Carolina" type blue with little blue scales from head to tip of tail with 4 squat feet, a purple chest and underbelly made to look like armor, little purple horns on it's head and long purple wings with shiny silver on their under side. It's facial expression is rather adorable and to me make it come across as an adolescent dragon. Eyes are embroidered on so no plastic there. Also the dragon has a sound device that "roars" but it isn't so loud that I would classify it as annoying. My granddaughter can hear it but if she rolled on it while asleep the roar would not wake her up so to me that is the best of both worlds. I hope this helps.

This dragon plush from Aurora is simply adorable! The entire dragon is very soft and the coloring is perfect, just as shown in the picture. The eyes are made with embroidery. There are no plastic pieces anywhere. The “roar box” inside the neck roars when pressed. To me, it sounds very similar to the Godzilla roar from the vintage 1960’s era movies. The roar isn’t too loud, but plenty loud enough to be heard. The roaring lasts about 4 or 5 seconds.I purchased this toy for my Grandson for Christmas. He is almost 4 years old & I believe he will really enjoy this plush dragon. This well constructed plush is stuffed well and is not floppy. I did not notice any loose threads or loose seams. I purchased this item at the regular price at which it was offered and it will be given as a gift. I did NOT receive any type of promotional discount in exchange for this review. My 3 yr old likes it! Definitely can work for a boy or girl. It is cute and not scary. The noise it makes is pretty quiet and you have to squeeze it for it to happen! Not annoying for parents and enjoyable for parents. I like this brand of stuffed animals and my son owns several. They are well made and don't rip. Win for all!

OMG, this dragon is absolutely adorable! I have a great-nephew entering toddlerhood who is getting this as a Christmas gift. I always put together a themed box of some sort, so have this dragon, some fun preschool books about dragons, and some toys that tie into one of the books. I browsed so many dragons but couldn’t really find the right one until I saw this guy. Ordered it, waited impatiently for it to come, opened the box, and loved it immediately. I’m not sure who gets more excited - my family (who will be getting the Christmas gifts I buy) or me (in coming up with the idea and sourcing the items for said gifts). Anyway, this was a home run!

This stuffed toy is well worth the money. I got it for my 2 year old and he loves it. It’s well made and visually expressive. The only thing I didn’t like was the sound box. It was really sensitive and the sound was annoying, and went off too much, so I knew it would have scared my sound sensitive kiddo. There was no way to get it out, so honestly, I just took a hammer and tapped it fairly gently so as not to break the fabric, or create shards of plastic inside, but just enough so that the soundbox button broke, and the sound feature went away. I wish there had been an easier way to do that, but now that it’s done it’s a perfect toy. The fabric is brilliant, soft and shiny, and my kiddo sleeps with it in his bed as he adores it. I pushed the small plastic soundbox up into the head so the stuffed animal didn’t have a hard spot in the body. I wish I could remove it, but hey, life isn’t perfect and I don’t sew well, so I’m not gonna cut it open and ruin the toy. In the end, this solution worked for us.

This is much nicer in person. It's so soft and feels and looks like a high quality stuffed toy. It's a good size, the details are nice.The wings and ridges are shiny. It's a slightly lighter blue than it appeared online - it's baby blue and bright purple (the colors go well together).You squeeze the neck to make a roar - it isn't too soft or too loud and it sounds like an animal roar which is neat.My son loves it!

My granddaughter, who is a big dragon fan, loved this dragon. Just the right size for playing and hugging. It was the only dragon I could find with a friendly face. Most of them had angry or mad looking expressions. The fabric and colors are beautiful. She is in love with this dragon! Wonderful quality item. The sound it makes is gentle and subtle. Terrific stuffed animal.

I gave 1 star because there is nothing below than that. If you wanna rob your kid of their dragon imagination, then only pay for this toy.
