Clubman Jumbo Styptic Pencil, 1 Oz (Pack of 3)

Product arrived as ordered and in good condition. Although this pencil may be deemed old fashioned by some, it is reliable and effective. I keep one at home, one while traveling and one at our cabin. I was pleased to get it.

It is hard to find these locally and they work great for stopping razor nicks and bleeding

Luckily, at the time of this review, I have not had to utilize this clotting pencil that often so my knowledge on the application of the product is somewhat limited. I am a person and has to take a ton of blood thinner and as a result I feel like I take my life in my own hands. Every time I shave my face lol, Nick would typically take forever to heal up so I decided to invest in a few of these for the house, and in my travel bag the pencil itself is extremely hard which is not what I expected. I expected it to be soft, almost like a deodorant texture, but it is harden closer to a pumice rock verses the other. I’ve had to use it one time and it is my understanding that when blood or moisture mix with a hard stick, it actually coagulates the cut the one time that I did use it it seem to work OK. I will update with more information should I survive an accidental nicking.

I have very sensitive facial skin, so shaving has always been a problem and rarely did I ever escape without a bleeding cut or two (usually more). Patting them down with a tissue or cold compress would take about an hour of time afterwards until they stopped bleeding.Not anymore with this Styptic Pencil! After shaving and washing my face, I just wet the pencil and dab it on any bleeding cuts I have and they INSTANTLY stop bleeding (you will feel a quick sting when you do, but it only lasts a second or two.). When done, just gently rinse off the pencil and pat dry with a tissue then let air dry completely before storing it back into it's holder.The Pencil itself is almost like a hard chalk stick, so it should last me years! I wish I had purchased this years ago.
