As someone who read all the LNs of the main series I decided to try Year One just to get context on GS' backstory and what happened between the events of his sister and the main series.I read Vol 1 of Year One and although it was a heck of a fun read in my eyes as someone whos a sucker for darker stories with that pinch of action and hype, Vol 2 hit me in the FEELS out of left field.If you are on the fence about reading this one, the relationship between Goblin Slayer and Arc Mage hit me in the feels.Now if an anime watcher says GS is bad Ima just be like, "You don't know about Arc Mage"

Nuestro joven protagonista continua haciendole honor a su nombre, sin embargo las cosas cambian cuando este encuentra un anillo cuyas propiedades son desconocidas por todos excepto una excéntrica hechicera, la cual acepta ayudarlo debido a que los goblins son el tema de su actual investigación asignada por el gremio.Es tiempo de documentar a fondo a los goblins, sus puntos fuertes y debilies, su comportamiento y adaptabilidad en relación a su ambiente, el funcionamiento estructural de su sociedad así como su posible meta u objetivo final.Veremos a un Goblin Slayer bajo la mano de un segundo mentor reforzando sus estrategias y creciendo como persona, una Cow Girl aprendiendo a aceptar a este mismo por lo que es sin importar su inusual comportamiento, y una Guild Girl aceptando tener interés romantico por el mismo.
